Weather in South Florida is perfect today. Should be fast and firm. New York is nice today too and I have extreme confidence when capping that track. Hope to have some fun and the racing gods smile on me.

Race 1 MSW State Bred- the ones that have run look slow. First time starter #1 Noble Cause 10-1 was a pricey Jimmy Creed purchase last year that out of a Forest Wildcat mare who could run. $10 Win

Race 2 #3 Pretentious 10-1 ml will come late. Many are pace types in here and this one can come from behind. Short field but still may be an overlay in here. $10 Win  .50 pk4 all/1,3,4,7/2,5/2 Cost $24

Race 6 #8 Solitary Gem 10-1ml gets a field he can handle and should get a perfect stalking trip  $10 Win

Race 7 #1 Stabilize 6-1ml got no pace to run into last race at 6 panels against tougher- drops down and hopefully can get a good trip from the rail and get these late. $10 Win and $5 ex box 1-2-10 Cost $30

Race 8  Tom Fool Grade III if #3 Skylar’s Scramjet 8/5ml runs his race these can’t beat him. Not much value. I’ll try a thin $2 tri bet 3/1,2,7/1,2,7 Cost $12  .50pk4  3/3,4/all/3,11,12 Cost $24

Race 9 Stymie Stakes  wide open race to me and doesn’t look like much pace in here which really hurts many of the favs as they are all closers especially at a one turn mile. I’m going to hope either the #3 California Night 15-1ml or #4 Stan the Man 5/2ml will get an easy lead and wire this field. Large $5 ex bet for me 3,4/1,2,5,7,8  Cost $50

Race 10 Gotham Grade III   best edition of this race in some time. What a great field. Tons of pace signed on and I hope for a meltdown. I like two local horses who are stretching out and stepping way up. #5 Haikal 6-1ml and #8 Tikhvin Flew 12-1ml  Both look to be able to rate some and hopefully one gets the trip. Playing $10 win on both and a $2 ex 5,8/all Cost $28

Race 11 Busher Stakes Wide open race and I cant narrow this down form the 3 horses I like so playing those in an exacta box. $5 ex box 3-11-12 Cost $30

Tampa Bay  Playing $350 pending scratches/refund

Race 1  #2 Sand Bay Breeze 15-1ml chased a fast pace and faded vs tougher in racing debut that produced a few next out winners. Steady work tab since $10 win and place

Race 2 #9 Peppermint Crunch 12-1ml has fast works since being eased in 2 career start on turf but was well bet in debut on dirt. Hopefully will be ignored and may shock. $10 win and place

Race 3 #2 Stamp 6-1ml returns for 3 yr old debut. Regally bred and training well and Irad rides. Might need a race and longer distance but hopefully gets some pace up front and is ready. $10 win and place

Race 4 #6 Readthecliffnotes 10-1ml lightly raced gelding showed some ability on dirt late last year and showed speed and faded on turf in only start this year. There is no speed in this race besides the #1 but the #6 is a better price. $10 win and place and $2 ex 1,6/1,2,3,6,9,10 ex  Cost $20

Race 5 #10 Snattererd 12-1ml can improve off decently backed but lackluster debut in a 12 horse field- won’t be bet and Joe Bravo is a great turf mile jock-- $10 win and place

Race 6  #2 Artistic Life 20-1 ml didn’t disgrace in only career start last year as a 2yr old in slop- 110k purchase could be anything and gets Lasix for 3 yr old debut for 23% trainer. BOMB  $10 win and place

Race 7  Columbia Stakes #6 Jerome Ave 10-1ml looks to be a legit turf horse. Fired a monster number in second career start off speed and fade debut. Big names in here so may get a decent price around morning line. Worked well since so hopefully no bounce off the huge effort.  $10 win and place

Race 8 Challenger Stakes  #4 Longden 10-ml gets a race flow advantage as many of these over-hyped horses want to be up front. Steps way up in class but horse has been solid since coming to Florida and deserves this shot in a weak looking field.  $10 win and place

Race 9 Hillsborough Grade II  Classy 7yr old race mare Goodyearforroses 8-1ml would handle this group two years ago. Back to races after a year off but she didn’t disgrace herself last month in comeback against a few of these. She obviously needed that race and loves the distance. $10 win and place

Race 10 Florida Oaks Grade III  #5 Concrete Rose 7/2 ml comes back to races after Breeders Cup try. Steady works and if she naturally improves off great 2yr old numbers then she wins. $50 win

Race 11 Tampa Bay Derby Grade II  Tacitus 12-1ml has been my future KY derby horse since late last year. I have been waiting for him to return to the races off good maiden score. Granted this is a crazy ambitious spot but playing with my heart on this one. $50 win and place

Race 12 #8 Honest to Goodness 8-1ml beat much cheaper to break maiden but 4yr old gelding to can improve and become a decent race turf miler. Natural step up and can come late  $10 win and place

GP Race 12 Captiva Island Stakes  #8 Mominou 10-1ml makes her 4yr old debut against some fast turf sprinters but she looks to have a clear pace advantage is she shows the early zip she had as a 3yr old and if ready to fire she can win this at long odds. $50 win and place 

Aqueduct Race 7. The 2 scratched so replacing with the 8. $5 ex box 1-8-10

So far none of my individual selections scratched so for me that’s always a warm and fuzzy. Really felt clear and confident capping today’s cards. Good luck all with perfect conditions and the big tracks today.
