Saturday At The SPA & GP

SPA Race3 # 7 Kitten by the Sea is in real good form & likes the SPA grass. Tough to beat the Irad/Pletch/Repole combination. She'll have to beat the #3 & #8 for Brown who is en fuego. Currently 9/2 down from the ML 8-1.

Irad had enough left in the tank to get the win with #7 Kitten by the Sea.

Paid $14.00/$5.20 with a $34.60 exacta.

GP Race 3 #2 Bimini has been sharp & can go to the lead or close off the pace. She'll have to beat the even money fav in #1

Bimini went too quickly & tired for 4th.

SPA Race 5 #4 raced greenly & shied away when coming into the stretch to finish 2nd in his only start. I'm sure trainer Cox worked on that & he's probably ready to fire. #3 Miracle Nicky is a firster for Rudy Rod & has the Taptiture breeding to make him a quick one. Javier gets a pick up mount on #9 for hot trainer Anthony Dutrow.

WOW #4 Whittington Park won by daylight. #9 was the runner up 2nd for a $16 exacta. #3 missed the break & never was in contention.

Race 6 #1 After Five is a colt for trainer Wesley Ward. Expect Johnny V to get her out of the gate quickly in this 5.5F turfer. #3 Gins and Tins shops in from Pimlico & gets a jock upgrade to Jose Ortiz. #6 Charmed is my play for small barn Antonucci. He stumbled at the break & Santana lost an iron. He still closed for a solid 3rd. #8 Mamba On Three ships in from Pimlico & is 3 for 3 on a firm turf. #9 Shiraz is a pure turfer having raced 33 of 39 on the grass. Saez/Maker will be tough to beat. #10 Christopher won his last at this distance by 4 lenghts. Wonder why trainer Stephens took Dylan Davis off this winner & has Tyler today which I'm cool with the change. #11 Big Package closes big time

#11 closed as expected to catch Tyler on #10 at the wire. #6 went for the lead but was cooked after 4F.

We have a lot of short fields coming up which will make it tougher to make some bucks.

Race 7 #1 Gamine has won 8 of 9. She should make it 9 of 10.

Did you see Firenze Fire trying to bite Yaupan in the stretch? Not once or twice but 3 or4 times.

I didn't realize FF was actually trying to bite Yaupon until he kept trying.

It was so odd to see at first I thought he may be stroking out right there on the track.

Now Jackie's Warrior showed his heart in the last race. 

Plenty of quality horses today but real tough to make some kind of nice money so far.

Wow that gray filly Lady Fatima gave me a rush @ 49-1.

She finished 4th but it was worth the rush.
