Wish Arabian Lion would have entered the Belmont Stakes. Would have been a real threat to win this. Hes now running in the Woody Stephens as the 2nd choice [ml 4-1] behind luke warm favorite General Jim at 7-2
Field has now shrunk to nine with Mage needing a break. Still with four legit contenders it should be a decent race.

In the 5th race it will be the rubber match between #4 Secret Oath & #6 Clairiere with each beating the other. Secret Oath won by almost 3 with Clairiere turning the table winning by a closing neck in the rematch. #2 Search Results will be dangerous having finished at least 3rd in 12 of 13 starts

Well, Wakanaka beat him in this same race last year when In Italian tired for 3rd. Actually, Speak of the Devil was the chalk in that race but missed the break finishing 4th of 5. The rabbit, Legs Galore set ridiculous fractions going 22:15 & 45:53 which probably cooked In Italian's goose.
I can certainly see Tyler on Spendarella playing the rabbit role going with In Italian.
Speak of the Devil has been lightly raced only going twice in a year & doesn't seem to have taken a liking to the US tracks.
If he can stay closer to the pace, I like the closing ability of New Year's Eve albeit his last two race were a bit longer. I think he could be the sneaky value if Saez can keep him sitting off the speed.

In Race 3 we have Bill Mott's Elite Power who has won 6 of 9 banking over 2 mil including the BC Sprint when he came from way back. If you can, check out the replay of that race. He's been away 4 months after winning his last in Dubai. Strobe is 2nd choice but not in my book.
Fearless has been away 9 months after being eased @ PARX. He's 15 of 18 ITM with 8 wins for the powerful Repole Stable. Don't think we'll get the 15-1 ML.
