Beautiful beautiful weather here in South Florida & I'm headed to Gulfstream tomorrow. I also capped Fairgrounds & like a couple of horses Tyler Gafflione will be riding.

Got a story about this race. I came down to the walking ring to check out #1 X Y Jet who is a huge roan & the chalk in this race. I also like #5 Quiote a little bit. As they were about to enter the track I told Irad Ortiz, the rider on Quiote, to have a safe ride. The trainer Georgina Baxter heard what I said & she said "thanks, I think we have a shot here."

Rarely do trainers or jocks say anything to the public like this & since I liked Quiote a little I played 10 WPS on him.  So X Y Jet & #6 Rays'warrior got into a wicked speed duel going the 1st quarter in .21 & burned each other out allowing Ortiz to close with Quiote to win going away by about 3 or 4. He paid $48.60; 12.00 & 17.80 for show because X Y Jet ran out of the money & the bridge jumpers were having heart attacks.

So I went to the rail near the winner's circle & made eye contact with Georgina Baxter & congratulated her. She came over & asked if I play Tampa Bay Downs & I told her rarely because I have lousy results capping that track. She told me she had another horse that had a good chance in the last race if I was interested.

So I played the filly R True Sensation, she ended up being the chalk & won by a neck. She only paid $4.60 but it was a decent $48 exacta.

So I didn't know much about Trainer Georgina Baxter but checked her out when I got home.

Turns out she has taken over the horses that were in the barn of crooked South Florida trainer Ralph Ziade. Ziade can't get a license down here because he's been caught numerous times juicing his horses.

So now I'm a fan of Georgina Baxter & she has another running Monday @ GP in Race 3 Oh My Warrior with Paco Lopez riding. This one looks like he has a stalking style & I'll give him a close look tomorrow. 

BTW Baxter's record this year is 14-4-3-2

Wow that's awesome midnight. Always nice to get some intel at the track, esp from a trainer. Good luck with the horses, I used to go to woodbine once or twice a year when i lived in TO. Never won much but....

She had another winner today in the 6th as the chalk paying 6 bucks.

Baxter doesn't have another runner until Pegasus day on Saturday in R3 #6 Pay Any Price ML 6-1. She'll have to beat #3 & 4 who luck tough in the race.
