The Derby Pool is Back-Best Prizes Ever

Its that time of year again. Welcome to the 13th Derby pool. Horses and amounts in the next post.

The rules are, each person has $10 to play. You will pick $10 worth of horses. You cannot go over $10 and you may only choose a horse once. Most points wins. Tiebreaker determination is the best finishing positions based on all the horses chosen. In case of exact horses by two or more participants, it will be a draw and a random draw will determine the winner. 

Points are 4 for the winning horse, 3 for second, 2 for third, and 1 for fourth. 

In case of scratch, you may choose another horse no later than 6 P.M. on Friday.  

In honor of our 13th year, Myles has put together an amazing prize package. The first place winner will get a swag pack, consisting of covers hoodie, hat, t-shirt and a $50 Amazon gift card. The second place will get a hat, hoodie, and t-shirt and 3rd place will get their choice of two of the three items of hat, hoodie, and t-shirt.

I don't have knowledge if you don't received a prize since they are sent by Covers. What year and was the prize you were supposed to receive? We don't have DM any longer so I need to know where to tell them to send.

Mine was two years ago got a Med not a XL hoodie got the cap, no mug and no clip, (would be nice to have the DM back )

 What were you supposed to receive and what did you actually receive? And what year?

Also, if a horse scratches before 6 P.M. Friday, you may replace him with whatever your dollar amounts allow (i.e. if Journalism scratches, you have $4 to place on new horses but the other picks remain). 

I was to get a t-shirt, hoodie, cap, travel mug, and money clip. They asked the size, and I said XL on the shirt and hoodie, they sent medium, I think they even asked what size cap, but it's adjustable, I also got the cap, no mug or clip, no big deal, the right size hoodie would have been nice though. This was 2 years ago 12th derby pool, last year was different. I still have the shirt and hoodie in the bag, I was going to give them away but don't know anyone that small.

If you get a scratch, do you have to keep the horses in the same order, if my #2 pick scratches do my 3 and 4 need to be the same or can we change the order?

Ok, I’ll check with Myles on the prize. 

There isn’t an order, per se. Just the horses you pick. If any scratch, your other horses remain but you can replace the scratched horse with the horse or horses that equal the amount.
