Let's try to figure out Hansen. I predicted about two months ago that he might be the next Uncle Moe....and won't make it to the gate the first Saturday in May. Big field here, so lets see how he does.
Seriously....this field, aside from Hansen, could be the featured race on a Wed, afternoon in the winter meet in Feb. at Turfway.
I'm only half-kidding. There is some talent here.
Hansen is out of the 12 hole, but even at that when the bell rings, I think he can get a manicure and a haircut before getting out and can still win this by 5 lengths.
#1 My Adonis..... looks game and can use the extra 1/16 and I think he poses a legit threat with a set up. The post is no help, but an early move out could enhance his chances. I like jock Trujillo and trainer Breen is a sharpie, so we might see this guy run a good one.
#6 Dan & Sheila....Team Todd and Johnny V is nothing to sneeze at and he finished just 3-1/4 out in the LeComte. Respect a More Than Ready offsrping....A real contender.
#3 Finnegans Wake.....20-1, but with Romans-Desormeux in the picture and coming in off two excellent races, take a very close gander.
#5 Maan....with Ravih Maragh and Kennealy you have to respect especially at a juicy 15-1. This Malibu Moon colt has done nothing wrong in his two career races....both wins.
#9 King and Crusaders.....note his two of two wins at the Big A --7/3-0-1 lifetime. Luzzi works for Rick Dutrow. You never know?
#10 Side Road.....Alan Garcia and Kieren M..... Enough said....not to mention 12-1 ML odds.
#11 Done Talking.....hate the post, but like the Remsen performance, plus he has the game David Cohen riding.
MY PICKS:
