Eibar Coa’s son Keiber races for the 1st time in the states tomorrow; I think he has 3 mounts on the card. He then heads out to Santa Anita for their opening on 12/26. He graduated from the LafittPincayJockSchool earlier this month & has one race under his belt. I suppose he worked some horses on the West Coast during his time there & perhaps made a good impression on some trainers. The kid is only 19 & it would be great to see him do well.
Boys At Tuscanova, who Dutrow scratched in the race his Trickmeister won last Saturday, goes Friday with Ramon Dominguez who got into town Sunday & already has a winner in the meet. Also noticed that trainer Kelly Breen is in town & I met him last year during the Breakfast @ GP one Saturday morning. The guy is super nice. Since the GP meet started a month earlier, the rest of the trainers/jocks are starting to arrive.
Peter Walder is loaded in the card tomorrow. He’s been pretty quiet so far in the meet. There’s a lot of talk about his filly Sweet N Sour Nina in the 10th race & no wonder. She’s 20 of 21 ITM lifetime. Calvin Borel is in town to ride the fav in the race #2 Groupie Doll.
R7, I hope is a speed duel between #1 Yankee Fortune & # 6 Little Mike so that # 5 Clement Rock & # 4 Telling pick up the pieces. Probably the best race on the card.
Keep an eye on Trainer Jane Cibelli; she’s won 3 of 4 races @ nice prices. She has one going Friday in the 8th race as an AE #16 Play It Straight.
That’s all I’ve got for now…

Don't think it makes any difference but he had his first mount last Saturday in the 2nd... was very emotional for his dad who was in the jocks room. What a miracle that he is able to walk and enjoy that moment.
