In no particular order this is where I will be throwing the most coin. Dunkirk
I did not buy into the hype about Dunkirk heading into this year's
Ky Derby. I felt he needed more racing experience and a tough race for
me to buy into his possible greatness. I am now ready! When you look
at the current field for this year's Belmont, it is remarkably weak,
particularly minus Rachel Alexandra. It's time for this $3.7 million
dollar purchase to strut his stuff and strut he will. If he actually
gets 4-1 at post time I will be surprised, but take it my friends if
you can get it.
A well bred son of Unbridled's Song, he showed his abilities in the
two-horse race in the Florida Derby with him and Quality Road. Quality
Road beat Dunkirk that day, but Dunkirk showed a wide, sweeping move
that will serve him well on the Belmont surface where they also have
wide, sweeping turns. Dunkirk's Derby performance was disappointing,
but I truly believe he is now ready to fire.
Chocolate Candy After getting squeezed terribly in the Kentucky Derby he went from 17th to finishing a respectable 5th. C.C.has the ability to stalk the pace which I think will be pretty honest. Two nice stakes wins this year, he has taken to the Belmont surface very well and I believe will have plenty left in the stretch. Miners Escape Top notch jockey Lezcano.and top notch trainer[see zito thread] ME has improved position in last two 11/8 races including the Tesio where he beat a tough field and opened up to a 31/2 length win. He will relish the distance and anyone that believes m.e.is just a rabbit may want to think again. The son of Mindshaft,if he sits off C.M.I think he could have an impact in the money outcome. As long as he doesnt hit a distance wall but thats why hes a price and a truly good one. Noteworthy Mine that Bird No Kentucky Derby winner has captured the Belmont since Thunder Gulch in 1995,and only two Derby winners have done it in 31 years.
Good Luck with whatever you decide to play

True that no Derby winner has won this in a long time. However, there are two factors....1) an unusually weak field 2) The "Calvin" facgtor. The guys has the biggest clock in his head of any jockey going these days.

How weak was last years field? Big Brown had to fake an injury to save face and has Da'tara done anything since? I love Mine That Bird; but what a long strange trip it has been. Will he have another big run in him???? I also don't like the fact that Calvin predicted victory. We all know that spells doom in the sports world. Should be another exciting day.
Good Luck to all.

But do not forget I had the Kentucky Derby winner. I hit the all button
Just not and have never been sold on Dunkirk (maybe my 20th post on him) Still a lot of backers and hope you all prove me wrong. I like the fav but if anybody is more deserving then its Jerry the biggest A hole trainer ever. No wait, my friend Mike got a bunch of money when his father died. His father bought a bunch of McDonalds in Oregon. He took his $$ and hired a Q trainer named Bob. Now Bob is by far the biggest asshole I ever met in my life!!!
Sorry rambling on.

He was a pubic hair away from becomming the first Triple Crown Winner in 31 years!
Everyone in the forum had a horse OTHER than Rachel three weeks ago and look what happened.
Double your money tomorrow boys and girls, probably the biggest sure thing a horse race has seen since...well three weeks ago...HAHA
in all seriousness all signs point to a MTB victory and a personal-first Jockey-Triple-Crown for Mr. Bo-Rail
I have a nice Pick 6 for tomorrow's Belmont Card - Races 6-11
6th- 6,1,3
7th- 5
8th- 1,8
9th- 8
10th- 1,12
11th- 7
11th Ex - 7 with 1,2,8
11th Tri - 7 with 1,2 with 4,6,8,9
Nice Show Bets on Summer Bird, Flying Private, Miners Escape
I will put a nice bit of coin on the long-shot - BRAVE VICTORY - 15/1, ridden by the "Borel of Belmont" Rajiv Maragh.
The Belmont Stakes was the one race MTB and co. felt they could actually win, and they almost made a Triple Crown out of it.
Not a Big Brown Run of last year, where he gets pulled up b/c the jockey "just felt something" MTB has actually proven the entire country, and more importantly bettors, that he is the real deal....or at least this bettor thinks so ....
AND I WILL BE HAPPY TO DOUBLE MY MONEY AT 6:29 PM

How does MTB not take the 1.5 mile?

Kursh Cant get myself to believe your gonna just sit back and watch this race. The degenerate in you will talk you in to something
.Maybe something on thee under card? 10th race Manhattan Gr1
Wesley 12-1 win and ex w/all
Tough spot for this colt but cant blame his connections for thinking he has a real shot as this guy is in career best form.
Need a fast/contested pace and with this field its looking that way.
Desormeaux takes the reigns and this big gray colt will be coming like
a freight train. 12-1 morning line may want to include on your pick 3s
and 4s.
Gio Ponti and Court Vision for pick 3s-4s just in case.
Race 3 Convocation win Ricoriatoa $2 ex box w/all
Had the Derby winner myself Kursh,[exacta] but when it counted at 50-1. At maybe 2-1, more likely 8-5, I prefer to take my chances and pick a few stunners. gl

I'm being told there's no way I will get 12-1[ml] on Wesley, but thats ok. Would expect at least 9-2 though.Granted hes in tough so tread lightly my friends if you do decide.
Bustin If this guy is up there in the stretch I will be jumping as high as when Giants Causeway filled my tri in the Breeders Cup.gl

A pubic hair away? He lost by a full length. Besides, last time I checked, winning the Preakness doesn't give you the Triple Crown. He may win, but it's far from a sure thing. Last time I heard that was when Big Brown got destroyed last year.
Best of luck either way.
