This filly has run 3 maiden claiming races races for 30k, 30k & won her last in 40k company by 4 @ 5-1.
Tomorrow Jeff Mullins enters her in a claimer for 8k after shipping her to Kenucky from Cali.
Mullins is no angel & this looks very suspicious to me. Why ship her across the country to only dump her for peanuts?
Am I missing something?
The horse (HAD ENOUGH) got claimed by young trainer Jason Barkley, son of Jeff Barkley, a trainer. Jason has been training for two or three years and is seeing some success..
My guess is that someone told Barkley about the horse and he, in turn, told Mullins he would claim the animal, which is why they shipped. Maybe he was doing a favor for Mullins, which sometimes happens trainer to trainer. Maybe the new owner paid the shipping fee?
The horse looks good enough to knock around Ellis Park, Turfway, Indiana Grand and, maybe, Ohio tracks. Or, maybe they plan to breed the horse to QH mares or similar?
I have run into this scenario a few times in the past, so it is not unusual....except when shipping from CA to KY for a low level horse vs shipping for a big stakes or ALW racer.

Hey Mikey-nice hit in the Preakness. I stuck with Will also just not as good as you did. Looking forward to some Belmont picks-still waiting on Spinoff to run a big one. Geaux Tigers.
