I'm in a competition where we have to pick a stock that is under $2 a share as of 10/31. We hypothectically buy and hold 1 share for 6 weeks and see who has the best rate of return. No shorting either.
I'm wondering if anyone can give me any suggestion before I start my search. Thanks!

I gave out MF because either way, good or bad it would for sure be a wild ride and worth discussion. Of course I did not and would not buy any of it unless the money was 100% risk capital, fully able to flush if it didn't work out. Contests at school or fun aren't meant to be boring and safe, going with MF would be a crazy move and it would be discussed win or lose.

Funny you mentioned this because after the MF news this morning I ended up picking SIRI.
I actually bought some back when it was .10 cents a few years ago when it was on the verge of bankruptcy. Just kind of rolled the dice with some extra cash I had on hand. Ended up selling it months later for $1.20.
Such a crazy morning because I had to have my pick in by 4 pm PST today and I was going to roll the dice with MF until this morning. Crazy day. After reading up on them I thought for sure someone would come to their rescue. Guess I was wrong.
Thanks for the input and discussion everyone.
