Two things..First if you dont know what they are you need to stop and learn before.In order to trade options you need approval from the broker you do business with and given that you have no experience I dont see how they would give you options approval.Second, once you learn the basics of options and figure it out, the proper way to bet on a stock going up from an options perspective is to buy calls on the stock..but again you are not ready and it would be a total waste of money for you to do so right now.

Wall is right.....I admire the enthusiasm, but take some time and do some reading...your broker should give you literature on options (basically they have to disclose the risks and functions by law to cover their own asses).

Options are intersting... trying to become more fluent in them and the intricacies of the options market itself is proving to be a challeng... The leverage aspect vs limited downside is very attractive, but admittedly, I am a novice in actually trading them.

Maybe down the road I will see you in the ring.

You&#x27;ll wanna buy out of the money calls, at a price you think it&#x27;ll reach.  There&#x27;s Jan. 13 contracts out, that&#x27;s basically 6 monthsTbh though I wouldn&#x27;t make those bets, all those companies are shit.

34$ - 1.08
33$ - 0.71
32$ - 0.47
31$ - 0.31

not sure which has the most value, thinking will split 500/500 on the 33's and 32's

Trade them in a practice account first.  Try it for a few months.  You&#x27;ll see how options work then.

1. please be real careful with options...as wallstreet alluded. read natenberg's book or at least a few applicable chapters.

2. you can also sell put spreads if its a directional play....but it also can blow up in your face.

3. be certain of the time maturity you wish to play with. 6 months/1 month/1 year...it can drive your p/l as much as anything else.

Got November calls on QCOR and November calls on TZA. QCOR is way way undervalued. Earnings were awesome and no move. However there was a run up ahead of earnings. Look at the chart and do some research. Excellent growth company and it fell on speculation that Aetna wasn't gonnna cover Achtar which is their signature drug. Just do research. It is a gem. TZA is triple short small caps. Market is ripe for a nice correction. Just my oppinion. Do your research.

Firs and foremost you have to figure out EXACTLY how much profit you want to make... This is important as you want to get out when and if you reach your profit.. Knowing that will help you decide what strategy to follow..
Best way to play options that far out of expiration is to play both sides of that stock... The put and the call..
