Any good pay sites for stocks???

Just curious if anyone has any good stock pay sites.   I am more into technicals of stocks then fundamentals.  SO what I'm looking for is a site that sifts through the market and finds companies with technical buy signals.

How much time do you have for getting into it?

You might be better off buying a program like Trade Station or Meta Stock etc that you can create some technical scans when you want and not have to devote a ton of time.

I'd follow www.alphatrends.blogspot.com for free trust worthy, unbiased technical analysis.

Just looked briefly at the site last night and liked it a lot.  It finds stocks that have specific bullish and bearish charts.   Plus has lots of other features.  I like that they have a message  board of members who point out certain stocks with technical indicators.    I will look a bit more into it tonight and will post a few of there favorite picks.

Thanks..and I asked because I was serious about it myself.

What kind of technical screens can you run and has it been easy for you to understand and get into it?

LOts of info on this site.  HOnestly don't even know where to start.  You can run screens of stocks for bearish and bullish technical indicators.  THey find a bunch and explain why and the chart patern.  SO many that I don't even know where to start.  They also have current buy list and will alert you via email when to buy a stock that has strong indicators.

I would love a crack at those technical scans..do they have any stats about success using certain variables?

I also wonder on the message board if there are suggestions about what technical scans work well..

I should just pony up and join..I never get around to it.

Will check out those names and let you know what I think. What I do like is I THINK that the guy also gives entry and exit and stop advice, right?

VSEA looks ok for a semi stock, good margins, low debt/cash and reasonable valuation, I can see why he likes it.

Vulcan bottomed out in the first of May and has run 25 pts since then..big move.

Not sure about VIP, that sector isnt my favorite. BABY is another one..not a stock that really grabs me.

As you are talking about pay sites/screens, anyone had any experience with Breakpoint Trades or Vector Vest?

I used VV for a trial, seemed OK but not what I was looking for.There is a point at which ones gets buried with info.

I like that marry technical and fundamental analysis, the former for when, the latter for what to invest.

Any "pay" site for stock picks in a rip-off.......just like a "pay" site for sports betting.
 
Do your own work, make your own calls, win/lose your own money.

That is not completely true. I dont have the tools I did when I was a broker for creating screens and having complex parameters available.

I would pay for a site if they had a great screener tool and resources.

Hell I paid for Silicon Investor back during the late 90s. It was a pay site and I bot a lifetime subscription, which I still use.

There can be value, especially if the person might not have time to really research and could use some tips to look into..get a broader look at the market.

He gives entry points also on certain stocks that fit certain criteria.   Today he added these plays all options
 
PCAR  july 55's
JNPR july 30's
NTES  july 25's
CIen July 35's.
 
He said now is a good time to buy tech.

No way I would touch CIEN and I would go ITM on JNPR, likely it wont cost that much more and has more safety.

Will check the other two.

I repectfully and completely disagree with you.  Paying for stock picks is a way for touts like your picture to profit......as in pump it, dump it.

After having technical tools like I did while a broker, I see value in paying for some things. If a bloomberg terminal wasnt so much, I would consider buying a subscription and have one for personal use.

I wouldnt toss out the value in paying for tools which can yield you a ROR which is better than you might have otherwise.

Paying for stock PICKS yeah, but that site has technical tools, message board etc.

Before I joined Silicon Investor years ago I was green in relation to the markets and paying for exchanging messages with intelligent and experienced people was VERY good for my market education.

I agree with claycourt that the stock picks area is not what I would use the site for, I would monitor how his plays go and if he uses good exit strategies..but use the tools and see if there is any value to the message board.
