Force Protection (FRPT - nasdaq) made an early day five month low of 4.05 on lower revenue and earnings tuesday 8-11 and is currently trading around 4.40 midday. as anyone that has followed the stock knows, they are one contract away from another bull run and with just under 70 million shares out it's VERY volitile AND if it gets TOO cheap I still think some master of war "big dog" would buy them out.

The only real issue is that like last year the stock just kind of swooned for most of the summer since the catalyst is in the spring with the MRAP scam-awards, so I might wait and see until around the first of the year rather than commit now when there is no real news to move the stock.

in the article about Oshkosh winning the MRAP sweepstakes, which is what initially took FRPT stock down, it mentions that one of the competitors was "Force Dynamics, a partnership between Force Protection and General Dynamics".
as Mike Lange would say "I've see that fish before". GD could buy them with pocket change.

I bet GD probably inquired but the CEO for FP is stubborn and very opinionated, I bet he would have no part of such discussions.

"I think it is appropriate considering the disappointment
from M-ATV we go back and examine that relationship and
determine if proceeding in the current form is in the best
interest of Force Protection," the company said.
FP has zero debt and almost two bucks in cash..I am shocked they didnt get gobbled up when they were trading at CASH earlier this year.
