I have 6 good stocks from a smart Aunt@Uncle. The stocks are AEP, BMY, CVX, MRK, PG. VZ. These are held by Ed. Jones and that is fine. Super solid stocks by a reputable broker. I like my agent just fine. ......wait!!!!!

Back to business. I also got 2 Vanguard mutual in the same deal. These investments are fairly small and only add up to $12,000.
Shit..... that sob Mickelson just put a shot within 6 inches!!
My thoughts are to put $1000 each in 3 different accounts to further diversify my holdings. This is where I need help. What do you guys like as solid long term investments. I've got several solids in mind but would appreciate opinions?
I also got $12,000 in the inheritance that I put in a Van Kampen Roth. I'm happy with it but if anyone has probs. then please advice me.
I wouldn't be on this forum unless I liked to gamble. When I finish doing the best I can long term for my little daughter and my retirement (same thing) then I want to get into some better short terms plays. Hope you guys help a semi-retard. I need it.
