Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer

Just curious to see if anyone watches this guy.  He acts like he just snorted an eight ball at times, but I guess it makes his show a little entertaining. 

Credentials are not too shabby.  Harvard grad, ex-Goldman Sach boy, ex-hedge-fund manager. 

What's everyone's thoughts on this guy?  Anyone know if the majority of his stock recommendations are to be taken seriously?

I like him a lot he know a tredmendous amount about the markets and he seems like a good guy.  His stock picks I would not say are the greatest though.  But if you want to learn about the market hes an entertaining person to watch.

Just google Jon Stewart/ Jim Cramer and watch

Cramer is one of the absolute worst and most despicable members of the investment community.

He is a stock tout who made his money using inside info and has a history of being an abusive, manipulative POS.

Cramer is what is wrong with investment tv and should be avoided completely.

Never watch and laugh anytime someone tells me they got a pick from him or his boy DOUG KASS nice predictions he made; dollar explodes Gold implodes.  He's the man because he said buy when the market hit 6500 and RSI was at all time lows .

his act getting old

I like the show, though it can be exhausting to watch.  I probably get an idea or two every week.  I then do a little poking around on my own and see if whatever got my attention seems solid or not.  My portfolio is up 134% for the year, and most of it is stuff I first heard about on Mad Money (TQNT, F, JDSU).  One of my best performers, though, is a stock he hates, EDMC.  So, I use it for information.  Nobody should blindly follow anybody, espeically an Eagles fan. 

I agree with you Maine. He gives good insights. I wouldn't necessarily go off his picks as he gives a handful a night X 200 ish shows a year so he won't be spot on. He is good at giving advice for making selections though.

As in Cramers case, if you consisently have to yell to get your point across, you probably do not have anything useful or important to share.  Kramer from Seinfeld was hard to understand, yet he makes more sense than Cramer.
