If you want to play around with extra money... fine.... but Technology stocks are littered with today winners and tomorrow losers more than any other market sector.

Pretty terrible idea.... if you're an experienced investor/trader that's one thing, but it sounds like you really don't have much of a clue. I'd follow these guys advice and go see someone, or at least learn how to diversify your portfolio. It's an "I'd like to retire at some point" account, not an "I'd like to pick winning stocks and retire early" account. That's the fast (or slow ) track to retiring at 70, or retiring without much income.
