They had tiebreaker advantage more all time wins so instead of hoping for two results picked against them and was hoping for win, but Bal upset Det on road. Bal had an good starting pitcher means but bad lineup and bad overall team and were bad on road. Det had an worse starting pitcher Manning but decent to good lineup, and were decent at home better than last few seasons. Det was better, should of won and was disappointed they didn't.
