ANYONE BEEN TO ATLANTIS

Just booked a trip for after new years, anyone have any useful info?  Where to eat, drink, etc.?

My wife and I went back in 2001.  Place was beautiful however we did not venture from the Atlantis as the surrounding area didn't seem to the greatest.  There were a lot of good restaurants in Atlantis.  If I recall correctly, one night we ate at Victorian Alberts.  One of those more upper class, wear a suit jacket type places and it cost a pretty penny.. I think the dinner cost like $400 bycks or something.. kind of one of those things you do just to say you did.  I think it is supposedly the nicest restaurant there. 
 
The Atlantis has a comedy show which ran every night.  We went a couple of times.. pretty good.  They obviously have a casino and a few pools and a very nice beach.
 
My wife and I went down during the NHL Olympic break and there were a lot of NHL players down there.  I played blackjack with Kirk Muller, Mike Keane and Sandy McCarthy.  Doug Gilmour was down there with some smoking hot blondes and my wife's favorite player, Randy McKay (from the Devils) was there.  We actually walked by him as he was there in nothing but a bathig suit.  My wife was in heaven!  I had met him before so we stopped and started talking... it was awesome.. it was around the time the Devils fired their coach so that was the topic we were chatting about.
 
Overall the food was very good and we had great weather.  We went down in February.  You should have a blast.   Enjoy it.

Try to get a meal package..it saves money and you can go to the nice places for any meal.

The buffet for breakfast and lunch is awesome.

If you like golf, try and visit the course nearby, its where Els plays (at least I saw him when I was there) and it is fantastic, a little windy though.

Casino is classy..all around awesome place.

Get the meal package if you can..did I already say that?

Thanks Fellas... alot of good Info!  Overall I plan on doing my usual chilling at the Sports Book, however I asume I'll have to open the wallet for my girlfriend so I will take your advice Devil and check out Victorian Alberts! 
 
Do I need to transfer money or will they take USD?
And this is my Vaca, so is it possible for a guy to find some local growth to smoke if you know what I mean?

I went with my ex about 7 years ago...I stayed at the Coral Tower....awesome pool and ocean view, you gotta try out that humoungous water slide

Played craps with Lisa Leslie..., stayed at the RIU next door, watch out for the non-stop timeshare hustling, pretty lame if you ask me

Going to Atlantis Cove Paradise Island myself on the 4th of January. Any of you Bahamians have a take on that place? I'll be scuba diving and sitting around the sportsbook/casino ALL DAY.
Amradio, check out the website on the above hotel....looks impressive.

I stayed in the Royal Towers about 5 years ago. Hands down one of the best vacations i have ever had. Greeat resort/casino/beach, unbelievably sexy and wealthy women everywhere.

I happened to meet tony parker and michael vick of all people while staying there. Jordan,(michael) was there also, but only saw him from a distance while he was playing Blackjack.  Parker and Vick were both cool and shook my hand. i was 19 so it was really cool for me at the time.

Hey CelticPride?  What are the standard rules at the Sportsbook, I'm reading I should wear a Jacket.  Is that the case? Also what is the min bet at the book and is it normal parlay, teasers rules like in vegas?
