I'll be in LV for Superbowl weekend too. I'm sure as we get closer to Feb. 2011 there will be a lot more talk.
Vegas Gourmet can help out as it gets closer.
You might want to save some money and go to the Covers.com party that weekend. They had one last year at Ballys. Not sure they are going to do it again this year. Free booze and eats. Also some handicapping experts as guest speakers.
What do you say Covers? Are you going to do it this Superbowl?

I will admit to this here and here only cuz nobody really knows who I am.
I have been to Vegas probably 100 times or so and for various reasons with the group I am with have ended up seeing shows that I would never had gone to on my own. Fuck it though, got me a drink and tried to open my mind to Huey Lewis and Barry Manilow on different occasions.
Loved em both!
The point being, I do not know Carrot Top and he kind of looks like an ass but I may take you up on this.
Last trip we saw David Spade and he was ahright only 4-5/10 scale.
Too arrogant for me(not like the low key manilow dude)
thanks for the reply

As far as stage show....The Lion King is the closest to Broadway in Vegas
If you mean, performer,.....you would need to access each hotel and see who is booked for that weekend....unfortunately, they may not have a name for you at this point....
I would want to see a performer who is NOT a regular here...like Carrot or George Wallace...and prefer to see someone with some "star quality".....

Gotta ask....What do you mean by "show?"

rough times and trying to save some dough. thinking about le reve not crazy about 109/ticket or so.
done the 1/2 price tix which is ok but hate the wait and bs
any great ideas ---for myself I found Gordie Brown down at The Golden Nugget to be simply hilarious, and priced just right in the 65 dollar range- check him out--you will be glad you did
we are staying at the wynn and will by no means lose enough to deserve comp there

I've been to the LA Comedy Club at the 4 Queens downtown a couple times now. $33 for your ticket and all you can drink during the comedy show. Obviously they're all not household names, but I haven't found a non-funny one yet. It's either wells or beer, and they don't cheat you on either.
Here's a link for the $33 tickets, it'll get updated closer to your time if you're interested:

I'll be there over the weekend as well. Thursday-Monday for me. Would love a Covers party if one is being thrown again this year. Also staying at the Wynn. I think the Wife wants to see "O" at Bellagio as she hasn't seen that Cirque show so we will probably be doing that thursday night when we get into town.

Le Reve at the Wynn is a better show than "O" imo. They are both water shows

Crash, if you are looking for an inexpensive and extremely funny comedian, than you HAVE to go see Vinnie Favorito. His show is at the flamingo. All he does is crack on everyone in the audience, extremely funny. Ive seen him about 10 times since I get the tix for free because he is good friends with my uncle. I will also be there for superbowl weekend and most likely will be going to see him again. Trust me, go see his show.

I have had great success with Travelzoo.com. I used 1/2 tickets before, but, agree, mediocre seats and it sucks wating. Neither one with Travelzoo. Amazing seats (premium, orchestra, etc.) and no waiting. This is copied from the most recent Travelzoo:
