Help! Moving to Vegas.

Question

My fianc&#xE9; and I are moving to vegas mid November. We will not be working. We are both not America citizens. We are looking for a place to rent for $500-$700/month. Just always wanted to live in Vegas for a longer period then 1 week. We want to only sign a 3 month lease to start. We will have our vehicle.Any suggestions on places? Looking for something clean and safe, within a 20 minute drive to the strip.Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to hit up craigslist or an apartment website. Vegas is relatively cheap to live in so Im sure you can find an actual apartment complex to live in. I have a friend who lives there and he paid 800 a month for a 2 bedroom apt in Summerlin so Im sure you can find something close to 500. Tho, I obviously cant speak for apartment lease terms, that might be tough. Unless you go month to month but they may charge u a little more.

Is this an attempt to "live the vegas dream"? Just curious...

How long can you stay in the States for legally?&#xD;&#xA;Like Roger said up W.Charleston to Summerlin,there are many Apt. complexes but not sure if they require proof of employment for approval?

I lived on LasVegas Blvd (Strip) for over 8 years and never paid more then 500/month at several motel complexs.It was month-month and it was 1-2 rooms with maidservice and cable.Check out some of the complexs at the north end of LVBlvd like between Sahara and Stratsphere. Most were clean and what to hell is safe?I was living on LasVegas Strip that is the most heavyily patrolled section in all of Vegas.I&#x27;d walk up to the Mirage and back at 1am collecting bets and no one would even talk to you. Check out FUN CITY motel or SuLinda By Gaslight motel and they don&#x27;t care if you&#x27;re from canada/employed.

@rogerw will check out summerlin area. Not a living the dream experience. More a trial run to see if Vegas is a place where we could call home in the future.

@jamesxnj as a candian I can stay for 6 months. Fiancé is swedish and only allowed 3 months. I hope a proof of employment is not needed. Anyways we would just pay the lease term up front.

@666les great idea about the motel complexes. Will be calling fun city and sulinda.

OR EXTENDED STAY AMERICA ON VALLEY VIEW, the latter is across from the palms,gold coast and rio, the former acoss the street directly 110 ft to the poker room door of the ORLEANs,

kiss the wife for me. good luck. p.s. at emerald suites it is cheaper by 50 a wk if u bring yr own bed linens.

extended stay advantage is you have more free shuttles to the strip available at rio
