if i have my own car how many books is it realistic to hit to spread my action around in 2 hours? What about if I have the entire day to do this? Just trying to understand i always hear people complaining about low limits if you have several hours it shouldn't require runners to spread your action. This is all assuming the line stays within 1/2 point or so. Appreciate any input i am trying to get out to vegas late summer/early fall this year

haven't been to vegas yet to bet so help me out here...if this info is accurate clearly the max bets on totals are much lower than sides

no for exmaple say you really like a total for a college fb but most of the limits are 500-1000 you have to hit 5-10 different books to get 5k down on it

Vegas books are not like books online. Max total doesn't mean that is the max per person. It is the max per bet. So if the max is $2000 but you want to bet $4000, just make two $2000 bets.
However, be aware that the reason there is a limit and that is so the book has the opportunity to move the line. For example, when I bet more then the limit before, they moved a total a full point and a half after I made my first max bet and before I could place my second one.
If you still want to use multiple books, stick to the big casinos on the strip where they have higher limits. They are also close to each other, so you can walk to each one. For example, both Aria and the Bellagio have high limits. Place a bet at Aria then jump on the tram and place it at the Bellagio 15 min later.

I think getting in your car would be your 1st mistake. Even with the over passes & all the stairs I can walk from casino to casino on the strip faster than you can drive & park. Some days you can't travel 4 miles on the strip in less than 25 minutes.
Either way you can cover your Mirage line at any MGM Resort, any Harrah's resort will cover your Caesar's line. then head to William Hill or Cantor books at off strip locations like Terribles (Silver Sevens), or PH.

bling- if this is the case then why are there so many people who say its impossible to make a living on just sports betting because the limits are so low? if these are the limits its certainly feasible to try to make 2k a day or 10k a week which would be incredible if executed.

There are people who post in the Vegas forum who know not whence they speak and have never made a meaningful bet in their lives. Any place that hangs a line you can walk up and make a counter limit bet without asking anyone and if they do/don't move the line you can do it again.

Not sure what other people are talking about. You can certainly make multiple bets at the limit, but the casino reserves the right to move the line between those bets. At the big casinos, this won't happen most of the time. The limits are in place to prevent a shark to put $100,000 on an opportunistic line.

The Sportsbook posts a copy of it's Rules & Regulations, somewhere in the sportsbook, as required by Nevada state gaming laws.
I've never taken the time to read them but I'm sure the limits are clearly posted & the rules on adjusting lines, as pretaining to maximum wagers is also clearly defined.
