So I've put up a similar post recently, but let me be more specific as the trip is now approaching...
Heading out on Sat 1/22-Mon 1/24. Will be with the girl and doing the dinner and show thing on Sat. That's her day. My day will be Sunday where we'll watch the NFL conf championships, go to Burger Bar at Mandalay to eat and prob a fun bar or club late.
Anyways, looking for tips/advice on a good restaurant before the show. Now, I do not know what show we are seeing yet, but it'll definitely be one of the Cirque du Soleil shows- I plan to get discounted tix at one of those kiosks day-of... any comments on shows appreciated.
I'm about to reserve a table for 5:30 (??? good for pre-show???) at B&B restaurant at Venetian. I'm looking for a place at about this price level and dress, but am hesitant cuz I kinda wanted a place that might be a bit more upbeat/unique/fun. I love Mario Batali's places so I know the food and service will be great, but are there any other ideas out there?
B&B has a pre-show dinner that's set a $49/person and looks tasty. Good deal IMO.
Thx.
PS- no seafood/sushi.

Chad....The problem with "pre-show" is location.....which Cirque that you're going to could determine where to eat before....
Based upon your pricepoint and wanting upbeat.....I love Mon Ami Gabi at The Paris....window seats facing the Bellagio fountains are first-come, first served....but might be available...
They have a great French bistro set-up....red & white checkered tablecloths...the large baguette placed right on your table...super wine by the glass, hangar steak with pomme frittes, prices much lower than anywhere (check the website for the menu)....

If you do Zumanity....then try the bar area of Il Fornaio at NY-NY...great happy hour prices in the bar (tv's to watch sports also)...thin crust pizza, excellent antipasto, wine by the glass...might be nice before the show.....then you can do Coyote Ugly or ROK afterwards....

If either one of you likes the Beatles, go watch Love. Even if you don't like the Beatles, go watch Love.
Haven't logged on to this site in months. But had to to affirm this post. IT IS PHENOMENAL AND A MUST SEE. I've seen it 3x with people of all ages and incomes and they all raved. It is not typical cirque though, so if you are a big cirque person some get hung up on that.
