Leaving Vegas/USA with money can be problem?

Question

Will go to vegas next month. I head something like if you have above 10k on yourself, they don't let you take the money out or they search you in airport, is it true?

Lets say I go to airport to leave vegas and usa, and I have 20-30k$ on my baggage/pockets, it can be a problem?

Is it ok if I hide the money on my underwear or they use detector?

i have went out there with 10k b4 and came back with more.. i carried 7 on the way back my girl carried 7 and a buddy carried 4 it was my best trip ever i hit a nascar driver at 10-1 for a nickel.. if u r traveling alone

I&#x27;ve left Vegas with well over 10K in cash, all 100s stuffed into envelopes, several times before.  Never had an issue, the screeners at Vegas are used to people going back and forth with large sums of cash.  The 10K rule you are thinking of is when you go through Customs, which unless you are flying to and from Vegas from the States, you don&#x27;t have to worry about.I also suggest you keep the cash on your person or carry on.  Do not check it in with your luggage.

Struggling with this post , for a number of reasons, they have banks in Vegas, most adults have a bank account, deposit the money in the bank,,,of course you have to obtain the money first, and that the problem, not getting it out, bling,,wtf,,that&#x27;s not you is it?

Can always get a cashiers check from the cage when you are cashing out.  Easy to carry, no questions asked,  easy to cash at your bank.  and Yes there are the major bank branches  just a few min. off the strip.

There is also the option of a wire transfer done at the cage. Just may have to wait for transfer to go through depending on what day and time of day your are requesting transfer.

I&#x27;m afraid I was unable to explain my question.I&#x27;m living in Europe, will come to Vegas. So I will go to NY, and from there to Nevada, Las Vegas. Then when my trip is over, I will fly from Vegas to NY, and then from there to Europe. So I&#x27;m leaving USA by plane, international ways.So if I have 20k on myself, and 20k on wife, Do they search you? I&#x27;m living in a half-islamic country btw. Do I have to fill a form? Filling the form is too much hassle? Thanks for your answers.

The answer is so simply that I can&#x27;t believe it was asked.&#xD;&#xA;Put your money in a nation wide bank, like Bank of A. They do not charge to open an account. If you have a checking account with them and carry a minium balance of 1500. there is no charge for basic checks or a debit card, (same thing).  Or open a savings account.&#xD;&#xA;I mean, come on, do you want to be a professional or not ? They don&#x27;t go around carrying 10, 20 G  and risk losing it or feeling like a thief. That&#x27;s crazy. You are just asking for a problem.&#xD;&#xA;Simply Google to get a list of all banks in Vegas.

No U.S. bank is going to do a wire transfer for a foreign national that doesn't have a bank account with them. Not with the current money laundering laws.

They don`t count you rmoney&gt;just get 100s and place in envelope than hold it in your hand going thru security. I just came back with $6000 &#x2B; and nobody counted my money

The problem of opening a bank account in Vegas, which is a good idea, is that they take so freaking long.

If I know I'm going to be at the bank for 30 mins, OK. But I heard it could take some time to open a simple bank account.
