At one time, blackjack was a great game to kill time and even make a few dollars.

I counted cards back in those days and Id easily rake in 700 a session, Now you get caught right away, the minute you vary your betsize.

Also the onlyway to really beat the game these days will get you tossed out right away, Iv discovered if you are counting, the only way you gain an edge is to 20 times your min bet

so If your Min bet is 25, you need to jack it up to 500 if you get a true count of +7 on a double deck game with most of the 5's gone and most of the aces still in.

Dont do this unless you are leaving the casino right after,

Do it more than once and win and you get the jerkoff floorman telling the dealer to spread the cards and you will be asked not to play blackjack at that particular casino anymore.

Sadly its the only way to maintain an edge.

Do this 1000 times and you come out a winner 530 to 570 times

add the double down oppertunities or Blackjacks and its more like win 600 lose 400

It just doesnt work anymore and I dare anyone on here to tell me different.

If you see hot dealers with thier tits showing- 6/5 table.Young first-time players who barely know the rules.

I make it a point,when I am wondering around the tables to ask the dealer during shuffle where I can find a 3/2 table(loud enough for the players to hear)..Inevitably a player will ask what I mean /what is the difference in BJ..Either I will inform them or the dealer who kind of has to..

I played blackjack twice on my trip to Vegas this past week, both times i got 3:2 blackjack.

Ellis Island at 6 am
Caesars Palace at 4 am

Caesars was at the main pit area, not the hot girl area which i think pays 6:5

I remember back in the late 70&#x27;s, I tried this card counting system at the Circus Circus, very early in the morning head on with the dealer.  I was up a small sum when the pit boss signaled for a new dealer.  Damn, it was before 6 am.  The new dealer shuffled and smiled after each deal, so I left the table and I have never played 21 since.  Now, the only bets I make are on sports.  My take, if you play 21, I doubt if you can win a few bucks anymore.

I stopped playing awhile back when most places went to 6:5  and also I realized a few dealers were counting on their own so when the count was remotely in the players favor they would muck the deck and shuffle but most people wouldn&#x27;t notice that.

Yes, Smart dealers all count.&#xD;&#xA;But its not for the casinos benefit, See the way it works is, they spot a counter&#xD;&#xA;they count down as well&#xD;&#xA;If it gets favorable for the counter they shuffle up if the counter is not tipping them.&#xD;&#xA;Call it extortion if you will&#xD;&#xA;Ill deal deep into the deck on high counts when you are tipping me, at the same time these smart dealers shuffle early for you on negative counts, Its a win win situation if you are a tipper and not a prick.&#xD;&#xA;Best dealers on the planet are ones who count down the deck, they are all help but the tokes have to be there or your gonna get shuffles on high counts.

LOL, dealers don&#x27;t count cards, they have no reason to. If a floor supervisor suspects you of counting cards, they will call surveillance. They are the ones who will count down the deck and watch your bet size and determine whether you are a counter or not. Dealers have no say as to when to shuffle...procedures tell them when to do so. Only their floor supervisor can change that. Any dealer that tells you they can influence the outcome by the way they shuffle the cards are full of themselves.

How do you think they know when someone is changing their betsize?

Because the dealer yells checks play.

You dont have to beleive it, but you are getting the real inside lowdown from someone who dealt for 6 years.

yea so you have a shuffling machine BJ 6-5 and you can only double 9, 10, 11 again i ask why are people playing this what are a players odds at probably around 40% maybe less if your not playing basic strategy

no wonder casinos are always renovating in vegas i cant imagine the money they make over a weekend

I was in LV the week of the 4th.  I&#x27;ve been counting cards since the &#x27;80&#x27;s and consider myself a pretty good counter, being able to act like a ploppy, have a conversation, and still keep an accurate count whether it&#x27;s a single deck or an 8 deck shoe, all the while sipping beers and cocktails and making cover plays. Still, I am a green-chipper, rarely betting more than $150 on a hand.   I subscribe to Stanford Wong&#x27;s Current Blackjack News, so I only played at casinos with favorable rules and good penetration(card counters will know what I mean).   I made very few mistakes in the 4 days I was there, playing probably 20 hours of Blackjack.  Let me tell you, I couldn&#x27;t make a hand to save my life!  It did not matter what casino, or how many decks, I lost hand after hand after hand.  Twice I lost 11 hands in a row, once when the count was positive the whole time.  In a word it was a bloodbath.  I lost my entire trip bankroll of $4K($500 of that lost on video poker, another game where I know the strategies).  I was also harassed on the strip by some idiot and his homies who thought it was funny to walk up behind people and scream in their ear.  At least the room was comped and we had some great food (Mesa Grill is my favorite in Vegas).  Anyway, I think people get the idea that card counters(advantage players is a better term) make as much money as they want to, anytime they want to.  The fact is, even the best players will most likely lose more hands than they win.  So if you want to play the game, at LEAST learn basic strategy, and STAY AWAY from games that pay less than 3/2 for a Blackjack!  You are better off playing craps or baccarat.

So boys, are there ANY tables that pay 2-1 in Vegas? I assume not, so lets just say that any game mentioned must pay 3-2.

Do any games offer early surrender? I again assume not, but surrendering must at least be allowed after the dealer peeks.

Doubling after splitting should be allowed. Same with just doubling any cards (not just 9, 10, 11)

Dealer stays on soft 17.

No continuous shuffling bullshit. I need breaks in the action to restart my count.

Now, are there any games with some or all of the rules I mentioned above in a single or dual-deck shoe?

How much should I be betting to get rated? I want comps.

Yes, DJ.  M Life casinos have dbl deck pitch games with  DAS.  Also Aria and TI.  These are $50 min. tables. I believe the Monte Carlo game is $100 min., but I didn&#x27;t play there.  I did play at MGM, Bellagio, and Treasure Island, among others.  Some of the DD games   had a house edge of only .19, which is a pretty good game. Good pen also. I think once in a while a casino will have 2-1 blackjack, but only as a promotion, and only for a short time. I never hear of early surrender being offered, but maybe it&#x27;s out there somewhere.

I meant to say those games I mentioned above were games where the dealer stands on soft 17. There are tons of games with dbl after split, but not too many combined with stand on sft 17.

Sams town has $5 double deck but I&#x27;m pretty sure it&#x27;s 6-5.

Surrender and DD 3:2 do not go hand in hand anywhere for under 100 minimum. This tyoe of game is almost as good as it gets.
