Stayed at the hotel from the 5th thru the 10th and the 26th thru the 1st. Figured I'd share on the book and if anyone wants to know about the hotel I will be happy to answer any questions. Anyways here's info on the book!
1. Drinks are free if you're gambling. The lady will ask for a ticket, glance it over, and give you drinks all night. Tip her a buck or two every drink and you good. Throw her anywhere from a 5 to a 20 and tell her to remember you and you good for the night and won't have to wait all day and night for her to find you again. Drank every day in the sport book and got hammered literally for 20, 30 bucks in tips to the waitress. Beers, mixed drinks, shots, even drinks on the rocks I got them all without being told no once. Really love this about the LVH book!! Although heads up most of the waitresses are broken down and old lol if you're looking for eye candy go somewhere else!!
2. Seating for college and NFL are a nightmare at kick offs. NFL if you're not down in the book at 6am you're not getting a table or stadium seating. Cool thing is though they're real lax with letting you sit and watch at the video games and slots without playing them. So while it sucks that you're not in one of the stadium seats for the game, at least you're standing. You can usually find a few seats for the 4 o'clock games. Sat in the stadium seats for the 4's both times (was with one buddy who lives out in Vegas) but like I said, you don't camp out for the 1's and it's not happening. College is packed at noon kick off and both times it wasn't till the 7 o'clock games that I was able to get a stadium seat. Any night games I got seating every time (SNF, MNF, College football night games) so basically after the 1's in the NFL you're good to find a seat all night and after 330's in college same thing! Unless you're with a large group, the you won't be able to get that many seats together. 3 or 4 together TOPS and 4 is kind of stretching it so keep that in mind when hitting the place up to watch the games!
3. Easy to make a bet. Even on Sunday's the lines aren't unbelievably long. Maybe a 10 minute wait to place a bet around noon before 1pm NFL kick offs. Plenty of tellers and plenty of options from teasers to parlay's to props. It really is as close to an on line book as they have in Vegas. I visited other books along the strip and off strip and none of them had the betting options the LVH does. Like I said, it's like betting on bookmaker or 5 dimes in person. I really love that about this book. It's not scared to take a bet.
4. Plenty of TV's for horse racing and sports. With that said though football is king in Vegas. If you betting basketball during football you better find some place else to watch it lol. I was out there during baseball and those games were buried behind the tellers on 30 inch tv's 100 feet from seating lol. Just figured I'd mention that in case it's football day out there and you like a hockey or b ball game (post season baseball will be on no matter what). They have a boat load of tv's but there's just to many games for them to show everything so keep that in mind if you're wagering something else during the football games. I know NBA and hockey usually don't have full schedules during the day when college and NFL is on but I'm just mentioning it could be a problem if a game you play is on during football. But again there is a ton of screens to watch and they do a good job of showing as many games as possible. A lot more screens then the other books I checked.
5. Very lax in the book all around. Never seen any beefs, never seen the ugly side although I'm sure it exists. Most guys down there are cool as well as the tellers and security. Felt really comfortable in the book.
Anyways I love the book I really do. Anyone wants to know about the hotel ask me anything (I stayed at the LVH both trips) and I'll help. The sports book is great though and if I missed anything you wanna know, just ask me and I'll answer best I can!

Just curious - for the NFL Sunday, you don't mention the theater at all? Did you not check it out? The sportsbook itself gets a little too crazy for me on an NFL Sunday, but the theater is great. I realize you can't get free drinks in the theater, but for $2 beers, it's not a bad spot.

Good report.

Yeah I saw the theater, they have a private one as well as one that the public can gaze into to see what's going on. More of a relaxed atmosphere in there. Pretty sure you got to pay to get in and there wasn't that much seating. I'm sure it's competitive to get a seat in there. I'm sure it's comfortable and obviously it's more intimate with all the game's on right in front of your face. It's like watching the game in your basement if your basement had 15 tv's but honestly it wasn't like watching it in the book itself as far as atmosphere is concerned. I stood by and caught a couple of plays of games at times while I was there (no one said anything) and honestly it was to relaxed. In the stadium seating every play is met with cheer or jeer lol I like that about it, it's crazy NFL Sundays for kick-off. As far as drinks, yeah they have the $2 dollar beers being offered to everyone but again, it's a nice touch to be able to drink whatever you want for basically free just because you placed a bet. I was out there with 10 g's to play with so I had around 500 to a G on each of my bets but my buddy is broke and had like 20 bucks on the game and his tickets were just as valuable as mine when it came to drinks. I like that about the LVH book!

I stayed there on a company trip and I really liked the sportsbook. Hoewever it was in the summer and i was out to eat after work, so I didnt get to see if it was packed for baseball. I wouldnt imagine it was.
The hallways to the rooms have a god awful smell. I couldnt put my finger on it but it smelled of old mold or something.
Did like the sportsbook. How many are there in Vegas? I know there's another one, maybe the Mirage?
When it comes to my rooms it was night and day each of my stays. The first time I stayed in a room with a back view of the golf course. It was grungy, moldy, and the shower head in the bathroom literally was at my chest and I'm 5'10, not 6'10. Second time I stayed I had a view of the strip and honestly the room was way cleaner, way bigger, and had a way better vibe. Far from flawless rooms there period but my second room with the view of the strip was just all around better. Comfortable beds both stays though. I only stayed there again the second time because I fell in love with the book and for the hotel price and 5 dollar monorail to the heart of the strip it was a good deal. I'm actually glad I did though because again, the second room with the view of the strip changed my view of the hotel. If I never returned I would have said the same thing you said, it's old, moldy, kind of dirty however if every time I stayed there I got the same kind of room I got the second time, they're worth it for the price in my opinion, especially if you're only out there to just bet sports (like I was)!

I live here and can see the LVH from my place. What I love about the sports book is on the weekend the windows are open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. which makes it nice when wanting to get a ticket for Sunday morning on the way home from work and not have to worry about dealing with a crowd the next morning.
With all the tv's and monitors it looks like NASA's mission control center in Houston
