Mailing in a winner

Question

What&#x27;s the turnover time for cashing in a ticket through the mail? Got a winning futures ticket from the MB &amp; I won&#x27;t be going down to LV as soon as I thought. I&#x27;ve never mailed one in before &amp; I only have 3 months before it&#x27;s invalid.

Every book is slightly different, but I&#x27;ve never had more than a 2 week wait from the time I&#x27;ve sent it in.  Send it in as registered mail and you won&#x27;t have an issue

2-3 weeks at most. Send it registered mail but you don&#x27;t really need to insure it-like I did.

Id be nervous mailing in a ticket, do you guys make copies of the ticket before mailing it?

Yes I make a copy, but that&#x27;s all why you send it "registered mail" as noted above.  It&#x27;s worked like this for a long, long time in LV.  This is nothing new.

I&#x27;m in Seattle. Sent in tickets registered mail at the post office 6 or 7 times. You get it back quick. The casinos want you to come again. They send it out quick.

&#xD;&#xA;It&#x27;s a corporate check and I would guess the max amount to be under whatever $ the prop would need to comply with gov agencies..No one cares about a few hundred,but thousands draw attention.

The limit is what ever the bet was,if you bet the limit they pay all of it with a check. I made 2 bets ML on the sunday night game and my train left before the end. Like I said,don&#x27;t insure the tickets! The postmistress asked "how much are the items worth in the mailing?" I said $18,000 and paid almost $700 insurance which was not needed because I had a record of acceptance by being registered. It&#x27;s not drug money you can cash this check at your bank.

I have done this numerous times with tickets from Mesquite, LV, and Wendover. Biggest ticket I have cashed was $300 and have sent numerous tickets in one envelope without sending them registered and never had a problem.

Standard envelopes are sorted by machines anymore and I see no point in making one stand out like registered does.

SWIM once sent $15,000 cash by FedEx mail delivery and the envolope fell off the back of the truck. What ever minion picks up the mail and guesses that your envelope might have ticket gets a free payday with no signature,no video, and no cash trail if you don't make copy of ticket.
