Question

I know this is an oft-asked question on covers but I've booked a trip for the first round (or I guess second round now with the play-in round), arriving Weds afternoon, leaving Sat am).

Looking for specific recommendations on books for atmosphere and viewing ability as I can. I prefer strip books as that's where we're staying. I usually like to park at Bellagio but I can only imagine what a mad house that will be.

Unless you&#x27;re there by yourself, or feel like getting to a book at 3am, watching in the actual sportsbooks themselves, in a seat, is near impossible on the strip from what I&#x27;ve seen.Various places have watch parties in theaters, ballrooms, or banquet rooms.  Some are free, some are pricey but include some food and beer.  A lot of the 2013 MM info is just coming out for these types of things.  Within the last week, the Caesars Entertainment properties released their plans, along with the LVH and others.I&#x27;d recommend this group on FB for the most up-to-date info:https://www.facebook.com/groups/mmilv/Lots of info posted throughout that group and in document form.

Went last year and stayed at LVH(or whatever its called) but grew tired of the crowds and $6 beers so we hopped over to Ellis Island and saddled up to the bar and its big screens with $2 home brews and metro wings---had a blast

Worst time of year to go to Vegas is during March Madness.

Made that mistake once, won't do it again. It is a meat fest and every sportsbook is packed full of testosterone. GL getting halftime bets in, lines will be out the back. The best place to actually watch the games will be in your hotel room.

Yeah South Point is a good one to go to...was there for Cuse-Kansas State last year before I left to go home. Was crowded but not overwhelmingly so. Can definitely go there to check out the MM action. Shouldn&#x27;t be that bad trying to get a seat. The LVH wasn&#x27;t bad either and I was there during the conference tournaments in the late afternoon.
