gonna set up shop at the rio for 9 days, nice big book and can walk to gold coast (try not to get shot) to get station lines and cheaper dinners.

Been to Vegas for the opening round of March Madness the last 5 years. .Check out the conference tournament games at the Orleans. There are a couple of tourneys held there. Also the Orleans is a great casino with good table games and rates, nice places to eat and a great sportsbook and poker room.

They set up one of the ballrooms for March Madness each year and it is one of the better places to watch the tournament.

cjm, got ya. use to catch play in game at Thomas and mack,(mountain west) actually was heading to the Orleans for a day of tourney, I believe they have the pac 12 and also gonna check the mgm if they have one. anyway good luck to both of us. and I might stay until Friday. stay in touch if you feel like having a beer and exchanging some handicapping ideas. in my opinion conference tourn is best time of year, plus crowds have gotten insane that first weekend of march madness. thanks for info

you are smart. I went 3 years in a row for conference tournament week and this will be my second year off. It is a blast. I hit games and T&M, Orleans, and MGM. Nice when there is something to do out there other than gamble.

Plus the sportsbooks aren't too packed and can hammer second half lines. This year will be remote placing those bets again.

WCC tourney @ Orleans Friday March 4th thru Tuesday March 8th SHOULD be a "Doozie". semi-finals and championship are Monday & Tuesday.

as a local I agree with the Orleans as a Hotel-Casino. good food, excellent sportsbook and decent machine games. you get bored there the Palms is right across the street and Rio right next door

Wadd.best wishes man.Love the Rio choice for 9 days..Coffee drinker? bring some Kuerig cups and if your room does not have the maker just tip housekeeping to get one...Starbucks lines in the AM blow..but that's where you also load up on sugar etc for the room..Gold Coast shop also way cheaper than Rio's if your a drinker..Rio sportsbook beats Friday's at the GC unless you are talking more upscale..

But bottom line you're not gonna get shot crossing the street to the GC but may get run over crossing from the GC to the Palms if you;re not on your game..GL

james &amp; le rat, all good stuff. the getting shot statement was referring to a week or so  ago they had a brawl in parking lot of GC and shots were fired. read it in LV review journal. but anyway did this last year and worked well @ rio for that length of time....usually eat at GC&#x27;s steak house for 1/2 the price of voodoo, however usually do high end place as well, just starting to amp up....
