So me and 7 buddies are going to Vegas for 5 days in March for the Mayweather v Pacman fight and we were wondering what, if any, nightclubs are good to go too?
We don't mind spending money, but we aren't looking to wait for 3 hours to get in, pay a 40 dollar cover, then pay 15 bucks for a shitty drink. We'd rather just go the strip club if thats the case.
That being said, any recommendations of places to go at night that are fun but not top of the line when it comes to price?

not a big expert on the nite club scene but sounds like you are headed to the strip clubs to me, 3 hour wait, huge cover, crappy service for a bunch of dudes and lousy drinks is what you will find at the club scene

He hasn't paid anything for tickets to the fight, because they're not available yet. While it does appear that Vegas will host the fight, there is still bidding going on for the rights to host it. The Cowboys owner just made an offer of 25 million to host it at their new stadium.

You have to get rated and have your host hook you up with the VIP/no wait line. Plus in the VIP ares, it's not nearly as crowded and you can bring chicks up from outside the VIP area too. Only way to go is to get a host.

First of all, IF you are indeed going to the fight and not just "going out there" while the fight is going on, just to be in the environment, then $$ should be no problem because if you can't pay 5k for a ticket or have comped tickets courtesy of the casino, or your cousin is in someone's entourage, then you wont be able to see the fight from the ceiling anyway and might as well stay home. It's tough to say what clubs are hot, particularly on fight night. Let me give you an example. Take Club Jet at the Mirage, normally it is decent, but not THE BEST, but for some reason on fight night & major events JET is one of the clubs that often will have the OFFICIAL FIGHT AFTER PARTY (along with Studio 54 at MGM), where the actual fighters Mayweather etc, will show up with a bunch of celebrity friends (Magic, Barkley, Jordan, rap starts, Kid Rock, Charles Oakley, 50 cent, etc). So, don't worry about it this far out. Once the fight is made & right before you fly out check the internet for "OFFICIAL AFTER PARTY" or a site like lasvegassun.com or vegasdeluxe.com.

Find someone who works in the nightclubs during the day and get on a guestlist with them... or you connect to any one of their myspace or facebook pages and make reservations that way. There are plenty of people making guestlists during the day and are happy to give you FREE passes.
Tao JET Pure Tryst Moon/Playboy @ the Palms are among the biggest and best in the city.
These are all top notch places that offer something unique and different than the rest. These are the most bangin' clubs on any given night.
