Clubs will cost you about $35. I've played Legacy and Painted Desert. You need car, but can get away with less than $150.
There is also a company that will rent you clubs and bring them to your hotel.

If you have a good first day at the tables, spent the extra and go bali hai, its walking distance from mandalay bay, its about $200 after 1 pm, go to the website, it would be worth extra money

Bali Hai is walking distance which is definitely a positive. And the staff experience is very good. However, no offense but I wouldn't walk across the street to pay $200 to play it. Maybe it has changed in the last 5 years but I thought it was "resort golf" and also not a desert golf experience. Holes funnel into the middle and if I recall correctly no doglegs either. Overall experience was good but the golf course itself was not worth the $$ they ask for.

Much like I advise people to save their money and have one memorable dinner rather than several average ones that they can have in their hometown..........
The same with golf...........All of the courses mentioned above can be found anywhere, if you just want to hit the ball and drink beers, then they are fine.........
BUT......One of the top courses in the world is here in Vegas.....and not to play there would be like having an opportunity to play Augusta and turning it down.
Shadow Creek
Worth every dollar....and then some.

Without "contacts"....should be $500.......
The Michael Jordan tournament is being played there this year again.....
When Steve Wynn sold the Bellagio to MGM, the golf course was a key part of the purchase by MGM.....

Not bragging but I have literally played EVERY track in town, some are worth the $$$ many many many are not. I assume you are looking for something outside what you can get at home and play every sat / sun morning. For the $$$ you are looking to spend I would recomend Pauite (Wolf or Snow) / Primm (Lakes) / Rio Secco (you can get twilight for $150ish) ...... Revere (Lexington) course. If you dont have a car Bali Hai is right on strip NOT my favorite course AT ALL and many of the people that work there have quite a sense of entitlement but would save you the $$$ for a cab if you werent driving.
