Not sure if this belongs in the poker forum, but I have a question for anyone who plays poker at least semi-regularly in Vegas. Me and the wifey are contemplating moving out to Vegas (would get to keep my job and work remotely / from home / from local office) and I want to play poker for approx. 15-20 hours/week. A buddy of mine told me that if you take advantage of all the benefits at Harrah's in the poker room, and play at least 125 hrs/month, you average $16.50 in giveback.
Does anyone know what kind of limits / hours you'd need to play on a monthly basis to qualify for some cash back? What poker rooms am I best off at for this (coupled with softer / touristy games of course)

Never heard of a rate that high...usually around 1-2$ an hour at most
yeah upon 2nd thought, that does seem too good to be true. I'll have to look into that
The link that BostonKen provided does indicate that the poker room is indeed offering promotions separate from the normal comps through Total Rewards. The "up to $599 in cash for playing multiple hours in the Harrah's poker room per month" caught my eye. Maybe my buddy was alluding to that plus some combined other stuff that the poker room was offering. Still hard to see how it can average to over $16 per hour, but it appears they have among the best comps out there

It's not $16.50 an hour brainiacs it's $16.50 a day. Or about 2 bucks an hour.

I may have been wrong on the $16.50/hour (it was simply what I heard and I was trying to piece together how that could be). But you are wrong on the $2/hour as well. The Total Rewards of $1/hr is separate from the poker promotions. At $599 in cash for 126 hours of play, that comes to roughly $5.80 in hour. If there are other promotions separate from this, it only goes up from there. That is in addition to anything from Total Rewards

The Poker Bailout promotions awards players with up to $599 in cash for playing multiple hours in the Harrah's poker room per month. Players who play as little as 50 hours will earn a cash benefit. The maximum payout is earned for those players that play at least 126 hours at Harrah’s.
The Tournament Leaderboard promotion awards players that cash in the Harrah's daily tournaments. Points are earned by players who cash in the tournaments, and these points are tallied throughout the month. At the end of the month, the 3 top players will earn $3K, $1.8K, and $1.2K respectively.
High Hand Jackpots: Harrah's high hand jackpots award players with $60 for quads, $100 for straight flushes, and Progressive Royal jackpots that start at $300.
