Heading down with some buddies, for our annual trip. Always a good time, but I was looking for some insight in three areas that I am hoping one of you can shed some light on for me.
1) I am well past my "bar" days, thank heavens, but I still love to hit a good lounge at night. I've been to the Voodoo, Ghost Bar, Mix, Foundation Room among others and have enjoyed them all, music aside. Not a big fan of dance and techno music all night long and I am just wondering if anyone knows of a lounge where you might catch an act playing some rock, or at least the DJ, playing the odd rock song in there? I ready somewhere that there is an act at Pub in the Monte Carlo, that might provide this, but not sure if it is rock music. I came across an act playing in the Venetian casino last year, that was fantastic put only caught the tail end of the show. If anyone can point me to a lounge or a website that might talk about where some rock acts are playing that would be much appreciated.
2) As snow is about to be hitting my neck of the woods soon, I like to spend as much time as I can out doors yet, still watch my sports action. Is there any good TV spots on the strip to watch a game outside? I know I watched a game at Diablo's and that was good. Just wondering if there is any other spot you can think of.
3) Laslty, always like to try an new restuaurant there. Has there been any that have opened in the last year, you would recommend?
