110° plus...to gain 'free' entry one must have a room on location; Red Rock Hotel&Casino, price: try $220. a night, that's if your lucky. yes, I am very familiar with this age old marketing scam, been going on in Vegas for years, geared towards the naive wanna be, and possesses absolutely no value. other than to vegasinsider, and the blood sucking touts, soliciting their services...ASSESSMENT, a joke, put on by clowns; a dissapointment to the serious handicapper...nothing in the form of education, or insight

You're totally wrong. I've attended this the last two years. It's 100% free. You don't have to be guest of the hotel.
And, as far as the seminar goes, it can be quite good, honestly. Two years ago was better than last year, as they had very good panels of people put together, including two proven, professional sports gamblers who are not touts, as well as sports radio talk show hosts, and sportsbook directors. A little of everything, so the debates and conversations were quite good.
The panels discussed not only football, but the sports gambling industry, betting strategies, line movements, comparing offshore to Vegas, etc.
Again, I'm not defending them and have no affiliation with them. And yes, the whole thing is a marketing campaign for their company. But that kind of thing happens all the time. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a scam, or not informative or not fun.

I understand most people being guarded about these tout companies and whatever, including me. But I can tell the last two years it hasn't been like that. The host company doesn't plug anything or offer deals on picks or anything like that. As a matter of fact, they rarely even plug their damned company other that giving out swag, etc.
The seminar consists of a few panels of "experts" talking about the upcoming football season, nfl and college, as well as talking about sports betting, etc. That's really about it.
I'll be there later today. If anyone wants to say hi, I'll be hanging around the sports book bar after 5pm. I'll be wearing a Wyoming Football tshirt.
