In the gambling world sleeping in the book is the lowest of the low. Its the gambling equivalent to eating out of a dumpster.
But lets be honest....Sportsbooks are empty from 10pm to 8am.
Who here has done it? Have you ever successfully pulled it off for a few hours and not just 15 minutes? If you were to do it where would you go?
Some casinos I think allow it just to get bodies in the book. Ive never seen the California kick someone out for sleeping and I've seen homeless people with 2 huge bags in there. A normal day has about 10 sleepers in that book. Arizona Charlies Decater there are usually a few people posted up long term. Thats a good sportsbook for lowlifes usually on a saturday you will find 4-5 patrons loudly listening to rap music on their phones while they tick off numbers on their 2 dollar parlay cards.
Whats the weirdest shit people have seen in a sportsbook?
Ive seen people looking at covers on their phone right before they go up to the window quite multiple times actually. Seemed weird to me.

Most casinos do not allow it. I usually get a morning flight out of Vegas so I usually don't get a hotel room my last night and just play poker all night. Well a few trips ago I was doing great in a poker tournament and couldn't get to the Bellagio to cash a big sports bet that I won before they closed at midnight. When I went at 7am before going to the airport they were still closed but were opening at 8. I could wait till 8 and still make my flight, so since I been up all night and was tired as fu ck, I decided to take a quick nap in the big plush leather seats they have there at the Bellagio. I was in the middle of the middle row and was pretty well hidden so I through I was good. Nope, within 5 minutes somebody is tapping me on the shoulder saying sleeping is not allowed and I need to stay awake or leave the sports book. So I sat there for the next 50 minutes trying to stay awake doing the head nob. I think the cashier took pity on me so they opened up 10 min early to cash my ticket
Of course this is all before I knew I could have just went to the Cashiers cage and cash it at any time
Any way, long story shot, casinos in general don't allow sleeping in their casino.

I don't know high end properties in Vegas well. Its generally a huge pain in the behind to drive to and park on the strip with the exception of Circus Circus and Riviera when Im staying at LVH I don't use strip sports books. One of the reasons Reno sh1ts on Vegas is because you can drive to a casino and park only a 60 second walk from the book and not 10 minutes.
In Reno I know where I'd sleep in all the casinos if I ever needed to. (Never had to sleep in my car or anywhere other than a nice hotel room over the last 3 years when Ive spent close to a combined year there but I did have a mattress in the back of my station wagon just in case.) Just go to the floor that is above the casino where its convention rooms and stuff and pass out on a couch. DOn't know this stuff about Vegas though.
Why the f would anyone go to the Bellagio SB unless you want to put a 10k bet on and draw less attention? I remember my first trip to Vegas I booked the Orleans cause I read the SB was good. I saw it was good but figured MGM Grand and Bellagio would be even better. Nope. Couldn't move, not a great TV set up, just a shmuck parade. Realized I wasted a lot of time getting a cab to MGM and walking to Bellagio thinking one of them would be a holy grail or something. Nope they sucked.
Now of course if you are in Vegas to spend 500 bucks in a nightclub or a cabana at a pool or its your only vacation of the year or you are betting over a dime a game than by all means frequent high end property sportsbooks where you are staying or hanging out and don't get in your car to drive a block to the Gold Coast for shits and giggles unless you want the boyd line.
