Does anyone know if they are going to finish the old Stardust site?
The Echelon building is just a skeletal frame and dirt lot. I think it is a money problem.
I miss the Westward Ho

jimmag- i can't say for sure, but i don't think echelon will ever be built as it was designed. it was supposed to be a smaller version of city center. one of the main problems is that boyd gaming is mainly an operator of locals casinos. i really think they got in over their heads on this one: they tore down a money maker, and now they are stuck with a dirt lot with a few pillars sticking out of the ground.

name me a casino-hotel that DOESN'T have a "money problem" in Las Vegas esp any recent new construction like City Center, M Resorts (I don't know how much longer M will last), ect. Michael Gaughan, the former owner of the Coast locals chain (who sold out at the TOP of the market to Harrah's) South Point seems to be holding their own and even did a recent expansion seperating the sportsbook from the racebook and expanding the poker room BUT I wouldn't give you a nickle for ANY casino operation here right now esp the local when we have half the home owners financially underwater and almost 15% unemployment to boot.
