Unwritten craps rule?

I walk up to an empty craps table, one guy throwing and both ends open.

i figure I’ll go to his end and make it easier for the dealer.

i throw money on the table in the middle of his role ( he has a point of 6)

The guy loses his mind and tells me it is rude to make change when someone is shooting.

i just walked away.

He obviously handled it wrong but yeah ideally you wait until the shooter at least makes his point. Or ideally done rolling. But rarely does anyone follow this. Also how much money he have out there? If he has like $50 don't worry about it. But if he has thousands covering every number and tons of hard way or prop action even more reason to wait. 

What I hate is when I have been at a table for hours. Learning who can shoot and who can't. Finally got a lively roll. A shooter who is hot and hitting his or her (usually his) numbers. I have pressing and doing well. Only for a jackass to see the table is hot, push his way in, hold up the shooter and make change so he can cover the board, only for the shooter to inevitably either (a) hit a stack of chips while rolling and roll a 7 or (b) due to the length of time between rolls he lost his mojo and immediately craps out. Fucking hate those guys.

So dumb fuck walked by my table last time while I was rolling (had a 20-25 minute session in which I hit 'em all 2x in the same roll) and say don't roll a seven. YOU DON'T WANT A SEVEN!!! NO NO NO NO NO SEVEN!!!! Sure enough I rolled a seven. I am pretty sure three people from the table ran after this dumb fuck and fucked him up. But seriously I don't know what it is about craps but some of the worst gamblers seem to play it or want to be around it.

That guy's a dick.  Never seen a shooter (or dealer) raise a stink about when a new player throws their money on the table for change...   Been playing for 30+ years.  

I've been playing craps for 10 years and have never seen that either. Agree, that guy's a dick.
