Anyone from out of town planning on being there for this?
Questions for Zoot or other Vegas residents:
1. What hotel/casino is the nicest for the best rate? I don't want to spend $300 a night when I will only be in the room to sleep, yet I want somewhere that I don't have to worry about sleeping if you understand me.
2. I will want to wager mid 5 to 6 figures on that game. I doubt it's a problem but where would be a easy book to go to place it without issue and what is the procedure should I have to collect? Is there a figure where I need ID and get 1099G? Should I split it up at several books? I want to walk away with cash if I win. Any info appreciated.
3. I am going back again for the first weekend of the NCAA Basketball tourney and will be meeting 4-7 people from other parts of the country. I would like to take them out for a group activity which they will remember. Strip joints or hookers are not what I have in mind. Any thoughts appreciated.

Hotels you are going to get 100 views on best places to stay. If you want something cheap and clean that you get taken care of well and have a nice sports book if you don't mind being 5 minutes down the strip South Point is phenomenal. They also have a ton of prop bets more than any other casino I have ever found and lines are very short with a little ways down the strip. Rooms are cheap and it is an easy cab ride if you aren't driving.
I do have to ask how is a guy wagering 6 figures on the game worried about a room rate? Get a host and you should be able to stay anywhere you want comped.
For group activity CHEFS TABLE at Delmonicos steakhouse is awesome. It is a private glass octagon shaped room in middle of kitchen you get an 8 course wine and cocktail paired dinner that the chef personally creates menu and prepares. You get a "behind the scenes" look being in the actual kitchen. It is much much more than a typical dining experience and usually takes 2-3 hours for dinner but it way cool and a neat experience.

I would also say if you or guests have never been there the newly remodeled Ghost Bar is amazing and a great time. Best view of the city and outdoor VIP tables make for a great night and social setting.
