Hey guys. I am heading out to west for the Mayweather weekend. I have a free room at Caesars. I noticed tickets for the fight are skyrocketing in price and the weekend is obviously one of the biggest of the year. Is it possible to peddle my room? I would definitely offer it up if someone wants to pay a few hundred a night for it. Is this doable? Has anyone heard of this or knows how to market it? Craigslist or somewhere else? All opinions and options are open. Thanks.

You can't just "transfer" a comped room. The comped room can only be booked in your name. You need to be physically present to check in, and it needs to be your credit card on file for the room.
Even if they put multiple credit cards on fill for the room, say the person who bought it has $20 of available credit (beyond what Caesars checked for), what happens when they trash the hotel room, steal the towels, run up ridiculous room charges, or whatever else in the room, and then you're stuck holding the bill because they're out of town and never heard from again.
It's not stated, but I'm assuming your room free room is because its comped? A comped room comes with an expected level of play at that particular casino, so they'll be looking for that. Otherwise, your comps will dry up.
On top of that, if you're caught selling/transferring, your comps will dry up real quick.

No, there is nothing like that for Comp'd rooms. People aren't that stupid and usually want to be compd again, which will never happen to you again if you get caught doing what you want to do.

I know this was probably a stupid thought. I have thought about all of the landmines I would step on in the process. I just have seen all the madness for that weekend. I will end up being in that room and enjoying some football, baseball, and boxing.

off subject a bit, but that's gonna be a helluva fun stretch in vegas...weekend number 1 for NFL, then the pre fight buildup, then the fight and more football. I'm going out for NFL week 1, but will miss the fight.
