Received a free room from the total rewards program so decided to go. Room was awesome, with a hot tub and tv in the bathroom. Vegas seemed to be a little slow, not to many people walking around. I think the electronics convention and adult film industry convention was coming up on this week.
Best restaurant was Cheesecake factory inside Caesars. Food overall was awesome everywhere, but the Cheesecake Factory makes the best omelletes! Sportsbook was crowded at Caesars, which make it pretty fun. Didnt see any hookers though, which i thought was interesting.
Downtown on Freemont St was very slow also, the slowest I've ever seen it. Overall, I highly recommend going to Vegas, nothing else like it in the world. Love going there.

Personally, to me Caesars is a little passed it primes. I HAVE NOT STAYED IN THE NEWER ROOMS WHICH ARE PROBABLY PRETTY NICE. That said, the last few times I have been there the dealers and cocktail waitresses are all over 60 . There are no smiles and no tits or good ass to look at. It must be a union thing. The place lacks vibe and energy and to me has been passed up by the newer casinos. For the money take any of the newere 5 stars over the Caesars. I still do like the old school huge fucking book though. Classic Vegas.

My wife, child and friend ate at Smith and Wolinskys on my last trip and all I can say is wow, the bill was 273 dollars but my oh my, If you dont make this a stop on any trip than you are missing out on a fantastic dining experience.
I still have dreams of how wonderful my ribeye steak was.

hey vegas gourmet, nobody cares what the hell you think anyways. Was just telling you like it is, and your grown up response was awesome. Vegas sucks anyways, its not like it used to be. Caesars room in the Augusta Tower was very nice.

Wow, why all the hate for Vegas Gourmet? He has been very helpful whenever I have had a question about Vegas regardless if it's about sportbooks, hotels, or dining.

Over 5 years on this website and your first post was about not seeing hookers at Caesars..........your restaurant recommendation was for a mediocre franchise......downtown was "slow" (assume that you didn't go into the Nugget (hi nc1) or the Goodman's new steakhouse......
....oh, and now "Vegas sucks".....

I never said it was the best restaurant in Vegas, just Caesars Palace. I had an omellete that was to die for. Anyways, I did go into the Nugget, which was busier, but outside on Freemont, I think I seen 10 people, which is the least I've ever seen.
Is the gold nuggett they put in the display fake?

Now, I realize that I'm "beating a dead horse" here.....but this is what you said in your first post.
You gamble enough to get a free room at a 5-star resort; but think that your omelette was the best meal you had in Vegas....and then say that "Vegas sucks"......
Once again, I may piss off some posters here....but when someone posts something here so idiotic and sophmoric and declares it as fact....then I gotta throw in my 2 cents.....
