Been searching the traditional "vacation packages" at different sites (hotwire, travelocity, priceline, etc...anything savings.com recommends) and as some of you probably already now its all relative departure time, locations, days of the week, etc but not only that but the hotel. Monkeyed around, found some value taking the red-eye flights...but am open to any suggestions you all may have. I am entertatining some deals found with Luxor--do not hear much about it on here. Whats your thoughts? Plus, which casino is the largest--or better said has the largest selection of table games--particularly BJ and roulette? Would love to find one that meets that description while also having a sportsbook. I'm not a real heavy hitter, but will have a few G's to play with.

I dont know if this helps or not but i'll tell ya what we did on my first vegas outing several years back. I went with a few older gentlemen who took the trip annually and pretty much had everything planned according to their previous experiences. Their favorite place to stay was the flamingo. I dont know about these days but when we went, the flamingo was considerably cheaper as its one of the older casinos and isnt nearly the mega structures like the newer ones. You can tell its somewhat dated but was very clean and pretty cool in an "older charming" type of way. Their sportsbook isnt even an electronic one, they still write it up on the board manually with a marker! But they had everything we needed and then some. Table games, restaurants, sportsbook, and bars. But the best part about the flamingo(in my opinion) was the location. It was pretty much located in the middle of the strip so you werent super far from anything. And remember that your hotel room is pretty much nothing more than a storage unit for all your shit while your out running wild! And by the way, i have stayed at the luxor and its a really cool place(especially if you like egyptian shit) and is much more modern. Regardless, you'll have a blast anywhere so good luck and tear that shit up!!

They all charge a daily resort fee and you cannot get out of it. I would suggest a Harrahs property. They have NO resort fees. Planet Hollywood, Caesars of course. I'm actually staying at Flamingo this month with an upgraded room. Harrahs really isn't that bad either. THey have clean rooms and the casino is pretty good.

i'd go to Hotwire.com find the hotel with the highest star rating for the best price...i wouldn't fuck around with these shithole props like the flamingo, harrahs, luxor, etc. On hotwire if you book far enough in advance and you'll get a 4/5 star hotel for 70-150/night and you'll be staying @ Trump, Treasure Island, Venetian, Paris, Ceasars, Belagio, Wynn...don't worry that you can't see the name of the hotel...just make sure its a 4 or 5 star and you'll be set..book early and you can stay @ one of Vegas' finest properties for what it would cost to stay @ Bally's booking direct.

I stayed at the Cal last week and it was pretty good, bed was damn comfortable, service was good. For the strip though i would hit Mandalay, Mirage, Rio, or if ya wanna spend the money the Wynn. There is an nfl event that week at the palms on thurs and fri. If you want a deal, stay there, it's under 100 bucks a night and cool stuff going on. I'll be attending the events but staying at Wynn/encore til mon the 4th

you have to decide what type of Vegas trip you want. I go once a year now but used to go twice a year in my 20's. I would do stuff unique to Vegas, you can go to a topless bar anywhere so I wouldn't waste my time. However you can go to a club anywhere but the clubs in Vegas are spectacular and just a different vibe. You can see a comedy show anywhere but spend the extra money on a big star you want to see that may only do Vegas.

if you dont need to use the internet, rio hotel is one of the best, i just dont care for it that much cause internet costs 14.99 a day which is idiotic but if you not using the internet for anything then its great casino , the rooms are really nice for the price
