Heading out to LV this Thurs afternoon and leaving Tues morning. I'll post a trip recap for those that are interested. Got a group of 7, 3 couples and a guy, all of us 27 or under in age. Some pre-trip highlights for me:
Thurs - First Thurs night NFL game of the year, good match up with the Ravens and Falcons
Fri - I'm a UNI (Northern Iowa) alum and they open the bball season at Syracuse. Also heading downtown for a comedy show and a night out down there.
Sat - College football all day then hanging out with the girlfriend Sat night (nice dinner, maybe a piano bar)
Sun - NFL all day at the Hilton, Penn and Teller at night
Mon - Mon night football

Think UNI has a chance against Cuse? Im a Cuse alum and UNI looks pretty bare and our kids seeem ready. Do you think 12-13 (my guess) is too many points to be giving you ?

Thanks man.
I'll be honest, if I was placing $ down, it'd be on Syracuse this early in the season. UNI will slow down the pace some, but they just don't have the depth this year, at least this early in the season. They will keep the pace slow enough, though, that it'll probably be a 15 point loss if I had to guess. They have a super talented PG in Ahelegbe who will control the tempo.
I think it's just too early in the year for a big road test for UNI. If this was mid-late season, my money would be all over UNI, but they're still finding an identity in a 6th-7th man and a post presence.
I made a ton of $ on UNI against Kansas last year, though. Getting 12 points in the tourney, up at half time, and getting 12 points in the 2nd half. That'll work later in the season for UNI, it always does, but not this early.
