Where should I stay? Free Room

Question

Got a free room at Ballys, Harrahs, Rio, Linq or Flamingo for play. I am by no means a high roller so this will be the base shittty room. Which of these has the less shittty rooms.

Last stay was at Flamingo for a conference, outside of the longest walk imaginable to the room, it was not half bad. I swear the walk was 10 minutes though.

Linq is all new rooms. They gutted the old Imperial Palace rooms, when they rebranded. Rio sucks, because it is out of the way, Flamingo/Ballys rooms are hit or miss.

Thanks!I have never stayed in IP despite 50 trips to Vegas. I hear horror stories about the elevators there but it may be time.

Supposedly they have upgraded the elevators, don&#x27;t hold me to that though, just what I heard, haven&#x27;t rode them personally.

[/Quote]I usually stay at Aria, Venetian, Wynn or this last time at Mandarin Oriental. If you want help on those hotels, I can be of assistance. This is a free trip from Harrahs and will be with a buddy. My wife will not stay in a room like this but I do not care. I have stayed in all of these properties but IP but it has been a long time.  My last two stays at Harrahs and Rio, the rooms were in desperate need of repair and that has been half a dozen years.

Understandable,&#xD;&#xA;If I was in your situation, this would be a &#x27;no brainer&#x27;... The Ling by far is the choice in this spot, the rooms are impeccable, the entire x-Imperial Palace has just recently been totally renovated, new owners, new name, with a new 4 star hotel rating.. Bally&#x27;s? Harrahs? Rio? the Flamingo? have nothing on the &#x27;new&#x27; Ling, a welcomed addition to the strip, and a replacement to the eye sore IP..enjoy your stay

I am booked at the Linq, I will send an update after the visit. They are putting us up for the AFC /NFC championship weekend. Just paying the resort fee, probably what the room cost for a weekend in January but I will feel like I am getting something good for free

There&#x27;s a Yardhouse right outside of the Linq that I like. They have about 100 beers on tap. Tag Sports bar also a good spot, they have over 200 beers available from around the world

to the nostalgic LV historians&#xD;&#xA;The Imperial Palace was owned and operated by the Ralph Engelstad-group until the time of his death in 2002 when the hotel &amp; Casino went into receivership, and was sold to Caesars Entertainment in 2008, A $240m renovation plan was put into effect, and the Linq Hotel &amp; Casino emerged..
