My flight left Friday from Chicago O'hare at 6:55am central and got there at 8:55 pacific and left McCarren at 5:55 pacific time and got to Chicago at 11pm central time Tuesday. I flew US Airways and booked my trip online at vegas.com and it cost $619 per person which includes airfare/hotel and taxes.
I have stayed in just about every good hotel on the strip and this was the first time ive been to the wynn and will never stay anywhere else again. This is the best hotel out there period.
Employees: The people that work there are everywhere and they make you feel wanted and actually care that your enjoying yourself and will help you with anything u need. This starts with valet to the registration to the guy who stands in front of the resort elevators to make sure your enjoying your stay.
Dealers and cocktail waitresse's: Both best ive delt with. The dealers have great personalities, friendly, want you to win and speak very good english. Cocktail waitresse's are hot and are on top of things.
Sportsbook: only down fall to the place. Nice comfortable seats with a decent amount of TVs but nothing special. I placed a $330 wager and asked for a drink ticket and the lady said I can only have one and seemed pissed off I asked her. Very nice if you bet horses.
Pool: Very nice with good service. This is not a party pool and I didnt see many people under 30 years old. There are a few BJ tables poolside and some very nice cabanas. There are two hot tubs as well.
Casino. Right up there with the Bellagio. Tons of tables with $10 minimums on craps and 21 during the day and up to $15 at night, even on the weekends. With the lack of people traveling to vegas and the amount of tables they have u will always be able to get a seat. If you like slots they have alot of them.
Food: Buffet for breakfast and lunch was outstanding. SW steakhouse was terrific but not as good as my favorite, BOA. Terrace Pointe Cafe and the Country Club were both excellent but expensive. Zoozacrackers, next to the sportsbook, was also good and had some nice sides.
Sightings/Nightlife: Saw Steve Wynn having dinner sunday night at his buffet with Billy Packer, Bobby Knight, Jerry Tarkanian and an unknown guy. I saw Reggie Bush and Mekhi Pheiffer at XS nightclub(encoe). The club is good but similar to the others and full of asians and the so cal crowd.
Rooms: It was my brother and I so we wanted two queen beds. The chick at the registration desk put us on the highest floor possible and closest to the elevator per my request with no tip neccessary and are the nicest rooms ive stayed in out there. 40 inch sharp aqous 1080 HD television in the room. Very high thread count and very comfortable beds. Bathrooms have double sinks, large tub and stand up shower. There is a small built in TV in the bathroom as well. Rooms with two queen beds face the golf course and rooms with a king bed faced the strip.
Extras: The esplanade has higher end shopping and I didnt bother going into any stores. The landscaping insde and outside the resort is beautiful and refreshing. Lots of smoking hot married women running around and like most of Wynn's resorts they cater to asians so u will see lots of them.
Any questions about the Wynn or any other hotel let me know.
