Star plays (12-12), minus 1. PBR plays (22-21). Over/Under leans (24-11), thank god!!!!!! So what did we learn last night?????? Jose Aldo is still a beast!!!!!!!! Stood in the pocket, didn't really back up, great TD defense and still had good cardio, my hats off to him!!!!!! Now Mendes, i think the game plan changed after the 1st round which he barely made it out of. Only 8 TD attempts wasn't enough and his only hope was to catch Aldo late, didn't happen. Mendes can go fight THE GOAT now that he has nothing better to do.

Phil Davis put on a clinic last night. Never been more impressed by him UNTIL he opens his mouth and calls out SILVA, really Phil really. Totally bonehead move.

Hans Stringer, hmmm. Glad I only had a 5er on you because he looked bad in the 2nd. Never thought Fabio was such a elite ground and pound guy!!!!!! Not gonna talk about the Fabio and Silva bro moment on the fence.

Lucas Martins. Can somebody tell this guy you can't with a fight with your back on the cage for 15 minutes and win!!!!!! Can't wait for when Elkins fights again, what a ugly display of MMA.

MR Ferreira. So I play a 2-1 fav and this guy thinks he's gonna sub Dariush. BJJ ace, my arse. 12 minutes on your back isn't gonna get you a PPV primetime slot again.

Marcario, yeah you with the Yellow hair!!!!!!! Did his training camp know Magny was 6-3 or 6-4, never seen a guy look so lost fighting a guy with length. Congrats to Magny being 5-0 this year!!!!!!

How wasnt Fili/Arantes not fight of the night?????? Wow what a dust up that was. Both guys big heart and lots of action!!!!! Too bad the rest of the card wasn't.

The two early fights were on fight pass, missed them both. Funny both winners for me on the Under, should have stayed home the rest of the night, lol. Ok guys see you in 2 weeks for the doubleheader.

First off, get fight pass, dude. It's $10/month and you get all sorts of content, random shows to bet on, and invicta coming up next week.

Second, my thoughts:

- Gilbert Burns is legit. His hands are improving and he's a legit, all around guy. I have to keep my bias for him in check moving forward. I hope they bring him up fairly.
- Fili-Arantes was not the FOTN because the main event was probably the best fight of the year. I'd say Weidman-Machida was slightly better but I love, so much, seeing Aldo throw those nasty fury combos where he gets slightly pissed. Round 1 was one of my favorite rounds in mma, even with the controversial strikes and eye poke stoppage.
- Magny needs a real step up in comp. He's good, I underrated him and picked his +200 opponent, so let's see how good. Someone just inside the top 15 is good. Ryan LaFlare doing anything?
- there are a few guys who won't be on a main card any time soon with their styles of fighting. No one wants to pay $60 for Elkins-Martins or Ferreira-Dariush
- I don't think Stringer is a fighter. I mean absolutely no disrespect, but there are guys that would rather die than get pounded out in half guard. His will was broken and it seemed like it was pretty easy.
- Glover is great at slipping punches. Every straight 1 or 2 Phil threw at him was slipped and stepped into. Phil is mixing his striking and wrestling a lot better. This was a clash of styles with guys very good at their particular strength. Not the most exciting fight, but very good technically.
- for the 2 main eventers, bravo! Great fight. Aldo is the best fighter in the world, IMO. Even better than Jones. The stoppages was the only let-down for me. In my perfect world, Aldo fights and beats Conor and the winner of Cub-Frankie in 2015, then moves to 155 at the end of next year to fight some great match-ups (Pettis, Melendez, RDA, Cerrone, Alvarez). Barao moves to 145 to get in the title mix, and then Mendes has a chance at another title shot. Otherwise, it probably ain't happening for Mendes.

I had fight pass a few months ago and it was a nightmare!!!! It wasn't my computer so I know it was the site. Hey O can you believe Sherdog had the Aldo fight 3-2, I didn't think that fight was that close and I had Mendes.

Yeah, something is weird about that. I don't see how 3 mma people can score round 3 for Mendes. I thought round 1 was closer than 3 until the last flurry.

How did a judge go 30-27 Martins?

Martins 3-0, lol. Actually if a judge had any balls, the score might have been 27-27. 9-9 in every round because every round looked the same!!!
