does alexis davis have a chance against rousey?

in the fight against rosi sexton, alexis davis could not get a stoppage because she gassed out. that is very inexcusable especially since sexton is a flyweight and she was one of the shiitiest fighters in womens mma till she retired about 10 days or so.

i happened to watch the 2nd fight that davis had with kaufman again and she looked very slow with her striking. the same thing happened in her last fight vs jessica eye while standing up. i will also say that jessica eye is very shitty on the ground and davis could not finish her on the ground. Did you know that jessica eye has been submitted by a strawweight before in her career? for alexis davis to be a black belt and not be able to finish inferior opponents does not equal a chance at beating rousey. i also happened to watch a jiu jitsu match of alexis davis and kyra gracie and i am not impressed at all.

i know she's been training with team alpha male and lance palmer, her husband is also a black belt in jiu jitsu but these aren't good enough to be the new champion.

the most interesting prop that i want to see the odds on when it comes out is what the price will be on ronda rousey NOT by submission. i think there is a high chance that davis has spent too much time with grappling and she has never been submitted before. The counter to this that i am afraid of is that she might gas out later in the fight on top of being too slow and then rousey sinks in the armbar. Do you think this prop will be a good deal? i'm thinking it better be at least +200 or higher since a lot of people might be thinking easy submission win by rousey.

Davis has such a infinitesimal chance of winning, it's not even worth entertaining.

Now can she avoid being submitted? If she doesn't get submitted it's 'cause Rousey blows her doors off standing, which is very possible.

I wouldn't take Not Rousey submission at anything under +400, personally.

been doing a lot of thinking about alexis davis being too slow with not enough cardio. i feel that even though rousey hasn't gone too deep into any of her fights, i saw enough cardio in her during the 2nd miesha tate fight. To me she has way more cardio than alexis davis and that really scares me. i remember even during the fuel tv interview right after the rosi sexton fight, alexis davis was REALLY tired then and could barely reply to ariel helwani's questions.

davis/rousey starts round 2 is -115, fight goes to 2:30 round 2 is +105. i'd like to see a lot of people pound the opposite of these props so that i can see better prices in my favor.

Here is the million dollar question:

has alexis davis EVER been submitted during a jiu jitsu match? i know she has never been submitted during an mma match let alone a submission in the first round. i really don't like the cardio of alexis davis but i think she can make the bell ring for the 2nd round for as close to even money i hope. Right now i don't like the -115 so i hope the public pounds for a rousey sub in the first round or something.

the other key to understanding womens mma is that a knockout rarely happens unless its due to repeated strikes, a cut, or something as simple as a liver shot as what looked to happen against mcmann last time vs rousey.

i am very confident the bell can ring to start the 2nd, i just don't like when it turns out to be a public bet. as the iron sheik would say:

"we see what happens bubba."

davis/rousey is -124 on 5dimes right now, most money starts coming in just before the fight starts and i'll check back on this but i'm not going to bet this prop

rousey NOT by submission is +174 so hopefully this touches as close to around +200 as possible but i'm very confident about this prop.

it did worry me a lot that alexis davis would be too tired in the later rounds to defend the armbars but i'm going to take the gamble that a tko would happen before davis gets submitted. i really think that alexis davis has spent too much time focusing on grappling. to me caio terra and flavio meier have exhausted everything in their arsenal to make sure a submission loss does not happen. if davis gets submitted that would a huge slap in the face to both of them.

what i would really like is to see possible evidence that the public thinks rousey is going to get the submission. i also like seeing the possibility that someone or more have laid huge money on rousey by submission causing the price i'm looking for to get better. If this happens, i will have to put another unit against the rousey by submission prop.

by the way, are there going to be props for the sarah moras and alexis dufresne fight tomorrow? i think dufresne is going to get a stoppage so that prop should also have as close to 2-1 odds also i hope.
