There are unknowns with the Spider: Of
major concern is his chin, this last one year layoff, his age, the
waning of his skills and finally the fact that he will be fighting
totally clean in this fight (we believe). Bisping, the London lip
enters with his own set of reservations. His past history in career
determining fights is abhorrent, his right eye (something we feel
everyone and they Mama wants not to talk about) is affected and we
question how much real vision he has out of that eye, his age, the
deterioration of his sills as well his chin. So there are questions on
each side. In our judgement Bisping has only one way to win and that is
to move forward, press the action to Anderson and touch him on the
teeth. Silva however has many more ways to win this fight provided he
is sixty-five to seventy per cent of his former self. While some feel
Bisping is catching Anderson in a favorable spot it is our contention
that Bisping was targeted as a bloke with a perfect style for Silva’s
counter attack and offensive directives. Silva is going to put Mike the
mouth down for ‘the Count’ and send the English fans home with the
feeling that they just finished watching Alan Minter against Hagler or
Hamsho*.
