Really like Connor.. dude cracks me up and is a very good/technical fighter.. his stand up is very good, has great reach for his size, ground game is very underrated, like Tyson is able to psychologically mind-F a lot of his opponents before they even step into the cage.
HOWEVER, I do not feel he will beat Aldo... Dude is way too distracted by his sudden fame and I really believe Aldo is not afraid. Since it has been so long since the last time he fought, I think people are forgetting about how good of a fighter Aldo is... dude is a beast.. just RELENTLESS and fighting is his life, whereas it's just part of the picture for Connor. I believe Aldo will win by TKO in the 2nd or 3rd round.. .though hope i'm wrong.

how can you say his ground game is underrated. he has spent very little time on the ground, and when he did he was dominated by mendes and he only got up when mendes went for a sub. And he has been taken down regularly. and i don't think he has even tried takedowns.
To me this fight comes down to the TD ability for Aldo. I think that has to be his key to victory ala mendes. I think Conor will be a long night (or short one!) for anyone standing up with this dude.
tough fight too call - can't imagine anyone going to big on this one

How can I say his ground game is underrated... do you know what the word underrated means? It means better (or, in this case much better IMO) than the is believe by the general populace). The perception by most is that McGregor has NO ground game at all; that's a joke. Yes, Mendes took him down fairly easily, however Mendes is a TOP level wrestler who can usually impose his will as far as take-downs on most fighters. McGregor was able to survive being on his back a good portion of that fight. In addition, if you have ever watched any of McGregor's fights in his previous promotion, you will know that the perception of Conor having no ground game is a joke. Take a moment to look past the view of the masses, and I think you will see what I am talking about. In summary, underrated does not equal great... it means better than thought.

I agree Aldo will win Connor didn't look as confident as Aldo at the weigh ins. Mcgregor looks like he had to cut a lot and that will factor in. Jose looks so confident at the weigh ins and he looks the same as if he didn't cut weight at all for this fight. Aldos body will be in better shape. Aldo lock it in boys it's a lock.
The only sure thing about luck is that it will change.
