Im all over Silva -115 to beat Chuck Iceman

In order to beat chuck you have to be a good striker.  rampage KO 1st round.  all previous chucks fights not really strikers and more graplers.  Silva is another big boy and looks great throwin down..  I don't think chuck can take the punches like he dishes out.

i agree...and if wandy simply doesnt get tagged by a haymaker he has way better stuff than chuck....also, if both get tired and this thing goes more than 1 round, wandy can clinch and take chuck down because chucky has no ground game...

I have not totally made my mind up, but I think I am leaning Chuckie.  I think Rampage is Chuck's cryptonite.  In his head, better, tougher, everything.  And I dont know if we have enough to go on in the fighting another striker is his downfall catagory. 

Skills wise I think Wandi has more, but Chuck is a great counterpuncher.  Rampage, he cant beat and Jardine is a terrible matchup stylistically for him.  Someone that stays back and just kicks the shit out of your legs.

Although i agree Wand takes this, I disagree with chuck has no ground game.  Wand has his Bjj background which is barely ever seen.  Chuck was an excellent wrestler.  Neither will let this stay on the ground.  Chuck is always seen getting out of takedowns with excellent sprawls.  Just something to think about.

Heavy lean toward Silva. Chuck has a lot to prove though so it'll be interesting to see how he responds.

Ya i already put $$$ on Silva. Liddell's loss to Jardine was disgusting. Unlike his previous dominant fights Liddell looked tentative. In my mind Silva and Liddell have exchanges in the 1st but by the 2nd and 3rd Silva gets Liddell down and grounds and pounds him to either a stoppage or easy decision victory.

I totally agree. I have been all over Silva, and honestly think he should probably be more like a 3 to 1 favorite tonight instead of the almost even money odds. That being said, the more I play out the fight in my head, the more I could see Silva's aggressiveness coming back to hurt him, and Liddell could land a lucky knockout punch. All Liddell really has to his game is his right hand, and I still definitely think Silva is the smart bet, but that being said, I am having doubts and am starting to get nervous.

i watched the UFC preview on spike last night...i may have to buy this fight (damn they are good at marketing)
 
silva cant do a lot of what he did in pride but i dunno he just seems like a beast. i guess im rooting for chuck but i kninda think silva will win...iffy though
 
and i like GSP big

well if you are going to pony up 50 bucks for a show, I would go with this one...but I do every show so my opinion is shit...this is a really good card though IMO

oh yeah, I usually just pay the few extra $$$'s and get the HD Broadcast...these are always big nights at my place...we get 100 X-Hot wings and a few cases to pound back

The odds on Silva are going up. It was at -115 for awhile, this morning it was at -125, and now it is up to -145 at my site.
