Bovada opened at -145 for DC and +115 for Rumble. Anyone else like Rumble in this fight?
In my opinion, Rumble is a monster at this weight. With his strength he will be able to defend the take-downs similar to Phil Davis fight. Although Phil Davis doesn't setup his take-downs like DC does... I don't see Cormier being able to control this fight for 5 rounds. On top of that, DC seemed absolutely beat and running on empty after 2 or 3 rounds against Jones?

I'm thinking Rumble too if he is in the kind of shape he has been recently. DC has never even been rocked before that I've seen. I'll be curious to see if Rumble can catch him with a big one.

What makes you say that? DC is coming in on 4 weeks notice. Rumble has been, by far, the scariest looking mofo at 205. He demolished Gus in less than a round.

If you think Gus is all that good, then you play Johnson. If you think Cormier and Davis are close in UFC wrestling, then you play Johnson. If you think Cormier hasn't fought heavy hitters, then you play Johnson. If you think Cormier will gas before Johnson, then you play him. Don't get me wrong, I like Johnson but if this fight goes past two rounds, Cormier will wear him out!!!!!!!!!!

Cormier will wear him out?? Cormier is basically a fat guy. I don't see him wearing anybody out besides himself.I just don't see how Cormier wins this fight. By submission? Don't see it. By KO or TKO? Don't see it.By decision? Don't see it. He's just not in the right kind of shape to win a five round fight.I'm loving Johnson at plus money right now, and will wait for a Johnson by decision prop to come out, as that's the way I see this one going.
A Olympic Wrestler who's nothing but a fat guy, lol. I remind you Johnson got choked out by Koscheck!!!!

I can see the Johnson love. He made Davis look bad but couldn't knock him out. Destroyed a overrated Gus, which I had Johnson that night. In the 205 division it isn't a meat grinder to get a title shot. Now let's look at the fat guy Cormier, lost to Jones, which everybody has. If Cain wasn't the title holder at heavy, Cormier would be up their but he can cut to 205. He was in the gym within a week preparing for his next fight. Cormier won't change his game plan much for Johnson as opposed to Bader. Johnson has to change much more in now the TD defense along with Cormier will wanna clinch and grind as opposed to whatever Jones was gonna do.

Johnson got choked out, what six years ago? He is a completely different fighter today than he was then, not to mention that was a different weight class.
AJ has never seen round 4, and Cormier has seen it what twice, and once at Light Heavyweight? And he was gassed midway through round 3.
If you go back and look at the Phil Davis fight, Johnson looked fresh all the way through. He was moving forward until the end of round 3, his cardio looked outstanding. No question in my mind Johnson has the edge when it comes to cardio.
It is true that Johnson does have a short amount of time to train for a fighter who is at the complete opposite end of the spectrum form Jones. Instead of a long, lanky striker, now he's fighting a short, stout wrestler.
I just think when all is said and done, Johnson will be able to defend Cormier's takedowns, out strike him, and use his cardio advantage, especially in the championship rounds to notch the decision.

Im leaining towards DC, DC looked unstoppable until he fought Jones, DC was what? +180 to beat jones? in hindsite i should of hammered Jones, i almost did but wanted Jones to lose so bad I decided to lay off that fight. Same with mayweather, i was also close to hammering that but watching it with a bunch of Flips lol and i really wanted Pac to win so i laid off that fight too which obviously i regret....
K i got off topic, I really liked Jones to beat Cormier but my point is that Cormier look really awesome against almost everyone except Jones. I think that is why this line looks pedestrian, is because of how dominating Jones was over Cormier. Should we expect the same with Johnson? what does johnson do that will resemble the way Jones fought? will he use a similar strategy? I think Johnson is at everyones peak after he crushed Gus, he is hot right now, while Cormier is at the lowest in his career in terms of hype due to that beating he just took from Jones. How should we weigh those two matches? so many times in sports people over react to the last game a team plays (especially in NFL) or in this case the last fight.
Im leaning cormier but Im going to wait and see what everyone else thinks.

Johnson for me.. Especially at plus money.. I have to believe his cardio has improved since he doesn't have to cut all that weight anymore.. He shut down Davis' takedown attempts and should be able to do the same to DC.. Gus took some shots from Jones, similiar to DC, but when Johnson hit Gus, he went down.. Can DC take the power that Johnson brings?

Damn, I like Cormier, but he should be quiet about Jones and hope he never comes back because there is no way he will win a fight against a healthy Jon Jones.
