What's up guys, I'm pretty new to posting on this site for MMA. But I've been posting for years on the Underground for MMA and also started up on Tapology (Chino808) to finally keep track of my record. Well here is my picks:
Velasquez, KO, rd 2
Mark Hunt, TKO, 2nd rd (KOTN)
Teixeira, Dec
TJ Grant, Dec
Cerrone, DEC
Pyle, sub, 1st RD(SOTN)
Holloway, Dec (FOTN)
Smith, Dec
Nurmagomedov, KO, 2nd RD
Thompson,KO 2nd RD
Roop, Dec
Payan, KO, 2nd RD
Velasquez, KO, rd 2
Cain will utilize his speed and wrestling and keep top control and wear down Big Foot and get a a ref stoppage in the 2nd rd.
Mark Hunt, TKO, 2nd rd (KOTN)
I like JDS, but after the beating he took I don't know how he he's going to recover from such a loss (psychologically). JDS is confident in his stand up skills, and we have never seen him display his ground game. I think JDS is going to make the mistake and try to stand with the K-1 World Champ and end up getting caught and finished by ref stoppage in the 2nd rd. Hunt has an Iron Chin (but he has been ko'd before, but not recently), and he has the firepower to put anyman asleep. My money is on Hunt at +300
Teixeira, Dec
Te Huna is tough, but Glover is better in the overall mma game. Glover should avoid the standup brawl and take Te Huna down and finish him like he did to Kingsbury in his UFC debut.
TJ Grant, Dec
Maynard has slick boxing, and great wrestling, and has relocated to AKA. But he did not look impressive in his last figh with Guida. He is coming off an 11 month layoff, so we'll see how it effects him. Grant has some serious momentum going into this fight. I like his aggression that he brings to the cage, and has nice elbows. Since he made the cut down to lightweight he looks very impressive. I was impressed the way he put down the veteran Matt Wiman. I'm going with Grant via decision.
Cerrone, DEC
Cerrone has some length and nice kick, but doesn't use a lot of head movement. He tends to rely on his height and just moves straight back or leans back to avoid punches. But it can be bad with a boxer who knows how to use that looping lead hook. I think KJ will try to use his headmovement and utilize his boxing skills to win a decision. But I see Cowboy with the better overall mma game and pulling off the decision win.
